I believe yes for first timer. The person going first time is usually driven by his desire. But then this is nature and will be the case forever. Homer buddy, appreciate the effort of enlightening everyone with your views, but here are some of my views:

1) Every one knows the risk of the trade and they know what they are getting into.

2) If you don't feel like or are getting scared to monger then please don't.

3) Spare us with your wonderful thoughts.
