In the DR, drugs, even Marijuana are a huge deal. It's just not worth it to mess with the stuff down there. You have all your time in the USA or wherever you're from to smoke reefer. I think one can do without out for a few days while on vacation.

I have heard of guys getting caught with weed and the cops shaking them down and giving the weed back. It would not want to be in that position. Truth is at my age and with my demeanor I look like the last guy they would suspect to have weed. I look like FiveO or a businessman and that is how I am treated. I was surprised that the % of users among the girls is low. Haitian girls seem to me more open but like you said some DR chicas act like it is horse. Just like at home I am very careful.

people just need to let it go. sosua is what it is and it won't be what it was so complaining about the "brothas" ain't going to change that. time and time again these guys are labeled "ghetto thugs" but the reality is the real ghetto thugs rarely leave their neighborhoods much less their cities. they most certainly don't get passports and travel to foreign countries. how these guys roll on vacation may not be to everyone's taste. hell, as a black man in his 40s some of it annoys me because it does affect how i do business when i am trying to contract some pay for play pussy. however, i have experienced the same issues in places like lima and cartagena that didn't see an influx of young black guys from new york. for most part these guys are usually just playing out a fantasy. for a few days out of the year they get to play like their favorite rapper or nba baller. minor league stuff compared to some of the coke fueled misadventures of middle aged wannabe hard men in places like colombia, peru and costa rica.

Its sad to see so many new bars open up to only be closed in a few months, Grand Opening Grand Closing.
