I have witnessed and read reports of big drop in freelancer numbers on beach road even during good weather season do wondering how bad things are now a days.
Is it raining every evening now a days in Pattaya? And if yes I wonder how to find the beach road freelancers? Do they work during the day or start early around 4 pm to get business or are most of them gone currently due to rains? Can someone with boots on the ground please clarify?

Can someone with boots on the ground please clarify?[/QUOTE]Yes, they're still there, but they are suffering pretty badly from lack of customers, and because the more or less daily rains interfere with business even more than the police. The continuous, long-term, slow decline in numbers and quality continues, but its really nothing unusual at the moment.
Even though it was in February when I visited Pattaya, I though it would be worthwhile and post a report of my two nights stay and the different experiences I had from my visit a year before. When I left Pattaya in January 2014 after a week's stay, I left angry and disappointed. Could not even stand the sound of the Thai language. I learned that the higher one's expectations are the more one is setting himself up for disappointment. This year, rather than stay two weeks in Pattaya, I opted to stay most of my vacation in Angeles City.
After arriving in Pattaya and getting a SIM card, true to form I bought a small bottle of Thai whisky, most of which I drank before venturing out on my own. Prior I contacted a fellow countryman I met last year and Mr. E for a get together next day. Afterwards, I think it was Living Dolls Go Go bar that I visited, where I barely got in the entrance when I was grabbed by a young, bleached blond spinner dancer who dragged me to a seat. Have to admit I think she was the nicest looking. She did some suggestive dancing on the stage and came back to the seat to get a drink. For some reason I had a brain fart, and instead of bar fining her I told her to fuck off and left the bar to check out the Walking Street. I think I was annoyed that she frequently kept leaving the seat to go dancing on the stage. Instead, I decided to see what was available on the Beach Rd, but never made it there, as I stopped at a beer bar just prior to the Walking Street entrance and decided to take an older provider (early30's). After all the young girls in AC, I was looking for something different. After, I picked her up I had problems finding my hotel as I did not remember on which Soi 13 it was located. Hmm, Thai whisky really does fuck me up. The girl was nice enough but service was unremarkable. Also, could have something to do with my level of intoxication?! When she left in the morning she told me to visit her next day at work, even only to talk. Nice. On my first full day in Pattaya I decided to check out Beach Rd; where there were really delicious food snacks for sale. The squid / calamari and shrimp were to die for. After eating I decided to check out Soi Honey, and as I passed the large Honey soapie establishment I was literally grabbed and pushed onto a girl standing outside another smaller parlour. I remember last year walking by this place and the young cute girls averting their eyes when I looked at them. What a difference a year makes. This girl was a 21 year old cutie, and I decided to go for some afternoon delight. The place had curtain partitions, and once we sat on the mattress she said they provided only special services. Asked her about the name of this place, and she said it was up to me. I thought she did not understand my question and after couple of more attempts it dawned on me that the place was called "up to you" duh. Went for a shower and then for some special activities. I really liked this girl as she was quite nice to look at and had a good attitude. I asked her about the barfine. I think she said 350 baht, and then she said that we could go dancing. Sweet. Went back to my hotel room to rest before the evening activities.
Met up with my friend and went to check out Soi 6. He said it was the quietest he has ever seen it (end of February) -maybe because of the raids. We settled in a bar for a brew. Girls were nice, and I showed some of my photos from AC. He was rather pleased and is considering a future trip to the Philippines. My friend left as he had to get up early for a golf game. After a while Mr. E and his friend came, and I have to say Mr. E is both a scholar and a gentleman. I was treated to most of my drinks, and after riding his bike to the Walking street, we checked out the main disco / freelance scenes and for my benefit we also visited the Windmill where I briefly got a mouthful and eyeful of pussy. Nice and raunchy as I remembered it. Eventually, by the end of the night we all parted our different ways. I hang out at WS for few minutes while eating some tasty samosas. On the way out of WS, I asked one cute spinner if she is willing to come with me. She said ok for 2000 baht. I said that was too much, and she replied to get someone else. I politely said that is fine, and two minutes later came across a young, tiny spinner in a supper short and tight red dress. She said she was 20 years old and asked 1000 baht. This girl was a perfect spinner, and cute as a button. Got her back to my hotel and the moment I got into her she started screaming non stop. I would not want to be my neighbour. This was a fine and loudest piece of ass I ever had. You never know what you get in Pattaya. After all was said and done, I paid her and sent her off. I needed some quiet time and rest.
Next day I again went to the Beach Rd and feasted on the food and relaxed watching the beach activities. I was pretty well packed as I had to leave around 10:30 pm for Bangkok. After couple of beers while gazing at the ocean, I decided to check out my regular bar from last year-the Quickie bar. On the way I met my favourite 19 year old Beach Rd girl, that I had several sessions with last year. She remembered my name and the place where I stayed. We exchanged phone numbers, and I moved on to Soi 6 and the Quickie bar There were completely different girls working there, and managed by a different owner. The only person I recognized was a middle aged Thai woman who was part of the management last year. A young, thin pretty 21 year old approached me and I offered to buy her drink while texting Mr. E to let him know that I was at Soi 6. After a while I took her up to a room. The bathroom upstairs was renovated and had a nice shower. Service was nice and I returned downstairs to have more drinks while keeping the girl company and waiting for Mr. E, who showed up with another friend at the bar next door. After saying my farewells I stepped over to I think Sunshine bar? Where Mr. E and his companion were drinking coke. I joined them and had a coke myself. I don't like to drink alcohol just before or during flights. While enjoying the company and the drink, one of the older girls (can't remember whether she was our waitress or not) persistently wanted me to use her services. She also pointed out that my T shirt was inside out, and figured out I must have been up to no good next door. After briefly consulting with Mr. E, I decided to hop on a bike and take the woman with me and get my fifth bang in Pattaya. The airport taxi had to wait for me for 20 minutes but the girl was worth it. On the way out of the hotel I even managed to get a phone number from a cute hotel employee. All in all a much better, if not excellent experience in Pattaya. Go figure!

Numbers up probably because it was a budhist holiday and there was alcohol ban and most bars were closed.
Was not partaking as I was taking after dinner stroll with my regular. But I will be flying solo tonight and will look for that super cutie.

I have done many trips to Patong in Phuket and have always loved it and was hesitant to go to Pattaya because I only have 4 days and each trip and never wanted to ruin my time if I didn't like Pattaya. In saying that after reading the last 50 to 100 pages of the Pattaya forum I have bitten the bullet and booked my trip to Pattaya this Sunday for 4 nights. I am really looking forward to it and keen to get my mongering on!
I am staying at the Areca and WiFi is important for me for work so I will post my experience at the end of next week after my stay.
I know this isn't the trip announcement forum but I am keen to buy a beer for any other mongers in Pattaya from the 9th to 13th August.

But not a whole lot of time to file a proper FR as I am also trying to get work done during the day.
General impressions: the place is pretty packed. Especially for "low season". Plenty of cuties around. Number of stunners at I-bar has dipped a bit, but quality on Soi 6 has improved: some real cuties at Perry's, Spiders, Nightwish and Sexy in the City right now.
BR remains about the same. Took one back last night for 700. Looked good on the road but when I got her back not so great. Gave good service but was happy when she left.
Will post in a few days wen I find some breathing room.

I will be embarking on my first out of country journey to Pattaya Thailand, I will be going for 14 days, however, I do not know much about the scene yet. I will mostly try to limit myself to Pattaya. If you guys can help me out with general tips, advice, and overall budgeting that would be fantastic. Some general questions that I have are:
- Best way to get from Bangkok airport to Pattaya.
- How much I should pay for one provider for an overnight date.
- What areas to stay away from.
- How not to be seen as a newbie.
- How much money I should set aside for two weeks in Pattaya, really helpful if you could include a low end budget and a high end budget so I can get a general idea.
- Average cost of providers.
- Best places to go in Pattaya.
- Other general tips / advice.
