I have the chance to visit Manila and Cebu during the 20 December - 05 January but I'm worried that.

1. the girls may leave the big city to be with the family during Christmas and New Year.

2. There will be too many tourist during that period.

3. The price for airplane tickets and hotels will be very high because of the high season.

Manila experts, can you share your opinion? There is an option to delay the trip with 1-2 months but honestly can't wait. But if it will be a tourist madness, high prices and low numbers of working girls. Doesn't sounds good idea. Advice?

The very best will have the cash to make the trip home but those that only go home once a year will likely choose Holy Week / Easter. There will still be many available.

You may not get lowest cost flights etc during the period but substantial savings can be made to airfares by booking ahead or being flexible on the day of the week that you travel. I've found hotels the opposite. If you are flexible on which hotel, there can be substantial savings as hotels try to fill rooms a day or two out. Of course you run the risk of your first choice being full so have a few options.

Where do you want to fly to? Keep in mind that the week between Christmas and NY is notorious for typhoons etc ravaging the Visayas. I've stopped travelling to PI during this period simply because I spend a lot of time out on the islands and have been caught out numerous times by various acts of God.

If you need to go during that week and intend to visit only Manila and Cebu then you will be fine and have a great time.

If you want to fly in, visit the beaches and islands and have a fixed destination and time schedule then I'd stay away from the week you mentioned.

You never know, but Christmas and a family is a big thing for them. I would think that the better talent is probably going to be able to afford to go back to the province to celebrate.
