With areas to avoid I'll refer to areas for your hotel search. Naklua and Jomtien are quite far away from the action and can cause trouble when trying to find a transport to get you around. Same the eastern areas close to Sukhumvit and east of it.

Easiest for a newbie is certainly inside the Songtaew circle (fountain, beach road, and in front of walking street back on 2nd road) or within walking distance to it.

In general Pattaya is a quite safe place. Probably avoid walking late night at dark corners on the beach especially if you are drunken already.

Streets with nightlife can be noisy at night. So consider when booking.

The money you will spent depends a lot on your lifestyle. I don't have up to date prices, but expect ST to be around 700-1 k and LT 2 k-3 k. It depends whether you pick up in beer bars, gogos or on the street. So you can easily do the math how many providers you'll have every day. Hotel is anywhere from 500-5000 a night. With 1500 you can get quite nice rooms.

Beer is roughly 100, Ladydrinks a bit more. So depends on how much you drink and how many you'll invite. With 300 be / person you can get an excellent meal (Thai food). 30 be if you go for a cheap food stall street side.

Don't try riding a motor bike if you are no experienced driver already. I know many people who hurt themselves by trying to learn it in Thailand.

Locations to visit again depend on your taste. You'll find plenty of hints in the forum. I personally like the daytime action in Soi 6 as it's straight forward and hassle free. Others prefer beer bars (like hose in Soi 7 or similar places). Others the gogos in the Walking street area. Up to your taste.

Believe me it is well worth it. Going back 10 posts is not going to cut it. Our fellow mongers are super helpful and do an awesome job of putting up some incredibly detailed information, to which I am totally grateful.

In the last 5 years I have barfined close to 100 agogo dancers and 80% of them did LT. One page back on post #17329 was my response to Red Doggers comment.

I finally did it. I book the Trip I made the flight and I touched down in Pattaya yesterday evening.

Here is what I gathered the first night.

I booked the Eastin Hotel. OK joint located on 8 alley behind the huge mall. This hotel looks super nice, but like all things, looks can be deceiving. Aside from its price its the only thing about it that's 4 Star. Rooms are nice enough and located in a really decent area (easy to walk out and be right in the Action) but the location is at night the go go and live bands might keep you up an hour or two later then you would. On top of that. I made the very rookie mistake of not booking the hotel for 2. (I have bad experiences in Japanese hotels when you book for 2 they double the price of the room.) So in order to have guests I have to fork over a extra 1000 bh per person. And there's no getting around that cause security is everywhere. Lessons learned for next trip LOL.

I got to the hotel around 9, showed, and started on my adventure. True to previous reports there are a lot of girls out last night. Bars and Gogo's around the 8th and 7th alleys where overflowing with them. It was hard to walk down the street with them stepping in my way trying to cat call and rope me into their establishment.

Eventually through my exploring of the alleys and the beach I got dragged into a bar on 7 alley. Rolling "something" was the name as I had been drinking after that long flight and bus ride to loosen myself up. I was sat down by a thicker Thai girl calling herself "apple" with nice curves in the right places, tiny blue short shorts and fake DD breast popping out of her small tub top. She sat me down and we chatted about a couple topics. 6 drinks down (4 for me 2 for her at 130 bh) I asked to bar fine her. She told me to pay my tab and give her 1000 bh and I could have her for ST. I agreed but told her she had to find hotel cause I wasn't about to pay another 1000 bh to that damn hotel. She told me she knew a place and I would have to pay hotel (300 bh) I agreed and we were off.

We hope on a bike get to the hotel and begin the deed. Her breast where fake but I am a sucker for top heavy girls. I was disappointed at no BBBJ but all and all it was a good fuck. After I played with her tits for like 30 mins straight and got to blow 2 loads on her chest, I called it a night. I walked her back to her bar and went back to my hotel that was around the corner. I originally set out the night with 3000 bh. And ended up coming back with 700 bh in my pocket so it was a win for me. With so good a first night. (imo) I am extremely hopeful of my next 6 nights. Next spots to check out is Soi 6 and the gogos of walking street!

I want to give really big shout outs to Wild Bill and Uncle V and all the other senior posters here that has given a ton of valuable info to fellow mongers like us.

There's no price difference if you book a room for 1 person or for 2 persons.
Ask for the manager or find yourself another hotel. It's low season so that should be easy.

PS: 1000 B is a lot. It's 3 days minimum wage.

I upload them to a cloud service and once on the ground I download them. I don't want customs or immigration find my monger notes if they pick me for a security check.

Heading to Pattaya next month. Just wanted to know how the treatment towards Indians is, I am an Indian and I don't want to go to a bar and be turned down.

I have been going to Pattaya for the past 4 years about twice a year and I always have a great time, but last time I was there which was back in February I had some of problems trying to get a Gogo girl on walking street to go back to my hotel for LT. Now I am in my mid thirties and consider myself average to good looking. What I normally do on a night out is hit a few Gogos until I find one I like, buy drinks for the girls and throw a few baht balls at them for fun, then around midnight to 1 am I look at asking a girl to go LT with me, but last time I was in Walking street gogos I had a lot of problems trying to get a girl to go back with me for LT, most would say only 1 or 2 hrs short time, and come up with all sort of reason why they cannot do LT.

Does anyone know why they do this? Are they not interested in making extra money for LT or are they just happy with there lady drinks and baht balls? I found it very strange and have found that Walking street gogo girl are now do this more and more.

I would love someone to enlighten me before I return next month, maybe I am doing it all wrong.

It's pretty much what I do. As long as it's after midnight I would think your success rate should be high. Before that time the girls are wondering if they can turn you quick enough so they can catch another barfine before closing.

Sounds like you visit frequently enough but how long do you stay? I stay for a month usually so maybe my ratio of LT is higher just because I stay longer? What helps me is that I start bar hopping around 8 pm. And I will hit 3-4 gogos before midnight without the intention of BFing anyone. But I buy some LDs for the girls I like and mamasan and then at 9 pm I leave and repeat at next bar until midnight. Every night I go to a different bar after midnight and I know 3 possible girls I'm thinking about. And the more important part is they know me as does mamasan. By this time I've spent an hour with the girl several times and the mamasan know me and know I'm a LT kinda guy so that might help too?

Just a few ideas.
