I actually considered Sao Paulo as the second leg of my trip, but I decided against it because it did not strike me as the kind of city that I would want to visit overall. I could have also gotten similar prices if I had taken the second leg of my trip in Manaus (for a tour of the Amazon, with a return flight via Miami) or Fernando de Noronha (an island off the northeastern coast of Brazil with the country's best scuba diving).

It took about three hours to receive my Brazilian visa from the Brazilian consulate in New York, in addition to the time that I spent on the prior online application. The New York consulate does not take appointments but instead issues visas during a two-hour window on most weekday afternoons. There was already a long line when I got there at 1 pm, and I got my visa just before that two-hour window of time ended. It is a good idea to show up early if you want to finish the process that same day.

My pre-trip research indicated that chica-friendly hotels were often hard to find in RJ, and that most mongers accordingly rent apartments instead. I preferred a hotel for security and other reasons, and I planned to conduct most of my sessions on-site anyway. I found that both Copacabana locations of the Ibis hotel chain (Posto 2 and Posto 5) are chica-friendly and inexpensive I booked a room at the Ibis Copacabana Posto 2 for approximately $40 per night. The room was small and basic but of good quality and adequate for my purposes. A (female) receptionist confirmed that they allow (female) guests, but I ultimately did not bring any guests there and had all of my sessions on-site. The breakfast was so-so, but for the low price (20-30 BRL), I cannot complain. I had dinner almost every night at the nearby Churrascaria Palace, an all-you-can eat steakhouse. At approximately 150 BRL per person, it is costly but still well worth the greater expense, in my opinion. The wide range of meat cuts that they served was excellent, and I needed to replenish the large amounts of protein that I was ejaculating.

I gave myself a crash course in Portuguese in preparation for my trip. The most useful material that I found was "Easy Brazilian Portuguese," a series of videos on YouTube. It featured interviews with native Brazilians and subtitles, familiarizing me with real-life speech and clarifying the differences between the written and spoken words (which I found to be one of the main challenges of the language). My prior knowledge of both Spanish and French definitely facilitated this crash course. I spent seven nights at RJ's 5 top-tier termas, where I had 14 sessions with 13 girls. I returned to one termas for the sheer number of girls and to another termas because I found it to be the best overall. Below are my characterizations of each termas and reviews of the girls with which I had sessions at each one. I have ranked them roughly in order of price, from lowest to highest. I lost my notes and thus cannot recall exact prices and many girls' names; after a week in RJ, I could hardly remember my own name. I will provide as much description as I can and approximate prices as closely as I can recall.

Centro Termas: Cancun and 4 x 4.

Cancun: This termas was the most spacious and had the best session rooms and the most relaxing atmosphere, and the girls there delivered some of the best GFE. The convenience of its location in Copacabana, where most mongers stay, was a bonus. It costs a bit more than the Centro termas, but less than the other two Zona Sul termas. Monte Carlo also avoided the two other extremes of the two other and more expensive termas in Zona Sul: the snobbery of Solarium and the gringo-gouging of Centaurus. It is within walking distance of most Copacabana accommodations. In my opinion, it is hard to beat.

Assessment.

I had a good time in RJ overall, and I am glad that I was able to check this box on my bucket list. By the same token, it did not impress me enough to plan any repeat visits, unless certain circumstances change; Colombians will remain my go-to girls for the foreseeable future. Let me explain.

It is important to me to have things to do other than mongering during a mongering trip, especially during the day. A lack of non-mongering activities that interest me is one of the main shortcomings of MDE for me, despite its world-class mongering scene. RJ is better than MDE in that regard, as it is a world-class city for non-mongers to visit and has plenty of other things to do. The main sights, such as Cristo Redentor and Sugarloaf Mountain, are quite impressive. Beyond those, I had been hoping to see more Portuguese cultural heritage, in which I had taken an interest during a previous non-mongering trip to Lisbon, where much of the historic city remains intact. Such sights in RJ were not as numerous or impressive as I had hoped, with the notable exception of the Royal Portuguese Reading Room. In any event, once one has seen these main sights, one has already "been there" and "done that."

RJ's more enduring selling points as a repeat destination, beyond its mongering, are its beaches and its easy access to nature within the city. I prefer scuba diving over the beach, and the only good diving is three hours away. I went on a guided hike through the Tijuca National Forest and saw little other than a cave, a coati, and a bunch of trees. I saw more animals when I walked up the hill to see Fort Leme; the monkeys like to hang out on the path there because people feed them. More interesting was the Barra Water Shuttle, which provides a boat tour of the inland waterways of Barra the Tijuca; I saw many caimans, birds, and fish jumping out of the water. The zoo is worth a visit, perhaps on the way to nearby Vila Mimosa; it has a lot of Brazilian animals that I have never seen before. I looked into the possibility of hang-gliding, but I am above the weight limit. RJ would be a great repeat destination for rock climbers, given the city's distinctive topography and its many rocks and hills to climb.

Does Brazil have hotter women than Colombia? I would say that the top-tier termas of RJ had a higher proportion of 10's than anywhere else that I have been, including MDE and Cartagena (CTG). Nonetheless, the quality of the talent in RJ dropped sharply to CR and DR levels outside those top-tier termas, as I saw during my brief visits to 502 and Delirio Oriental. Similarly, I saw fewer girls in the general public of RJ that caught my eye, although that may have been because I did not got the beach; the female population of MDE impressed me more overall. RJ's top-tier termas may have more 10's, but I found that MDE had a more balanced and even distribution of hotness throughout both its hooker and non-hooker populations and thus a larger and healthier supply of 8's, and 9's than RJ. In other words, the upper crust of RJ is hotter than that of MDE, but the average hotness of MDE is higher overall.

Brazilians have two or three other potential advantages over Colombians, the importance of which may vary according to one's tastes. Brazil is a much larger country with a much more diverse gene pool and thus a much greater variety of physical types, from very white to very black and everything else in between. RJ's top-tier termas thus contain a wide variety of girls, although I believe that black (er) or biracial girls may have been underrepresented, perhaps due to the tastes of wealthier Brazilians. This diversity may be appealing to those that dislike the homogeneity of the MDE gene pool and prefer the greater diversity of CTG, as RJ's talent pool is even more diverse than that of CTG. Personally, though, I like the standard paisa look of MDE chicas and do not mind MDE's homogeneity.

RJ's top-tier termas provide an opportunity to receive good service from hot white girls at prices that are high by Latin American standards but would be hard to beat for hot white girls in most other places, except perhaps the FKKs of Germany. When I say white, I am not talking about lighter-skinned Latinas, as one might find in CR or certain parts of Colombia. I mean whiter than me, of German, Italian, or Eastern European origin. White women this hot would cost an arm and a leg back home, or the affordable ones would provide shoddy service, as in the red light district of Amsterdam. More importantly, they fuck like any other Latinas, even though they are physically white.

Brazil's reputation for big bundas was a significant factor in my decision to go, and in that regard the talent pool at RJ's top-tier termas definitely met my expectations. More importantly, for those of you that dislike artificial silicone enhancements, I would say that a higher proportion of the girls either had natural tits & ass, or the workmanship was so good that I could not tell the difference. While I encountered quite a few with fake tits, I might have found only one or two fake asses. I understand that a distaste for silicone is why some mongers are not fans of Colombians, and if you are one of those guys, then Brazil's ostensibly lower levels of silicone may be a better fit for you. I personally do not mind quality silicone enhancements but would prefer a natural body, all other things being the same.

Do Brazilians provide a higher level or quality of service? The premium service items BBBJ, CIM, swallowing, and anal are probably easier to find at RJ's top-tier termas than in the more accessible Spanish-speaking countries. BBBJ definitely appeared to be the norm in RJ's top-tier termas; all of the girls that I interviewed offered BBBJ with no upsell, and none of them offered CBJ. The other services are even harder to find in the more accessible Spanish-speaking countries but appear to be more widely available in RJ's top-tier termas. CIM and swallowing are not important enough to me to request them in advance, though, and I actually dislike anal and turned away a few girls that offered it to me proactively.

The reputation of Brazilians for greater passion and intensity in the sack was another significant factor in persuading me to go, and in this regard they did not meet my expectations. I found Colombians and even Dominicans to be better performers in this regard. To be fair though, the language barrier may have been a significant factor in impeding the development of mutual chemistry and the full GFE experience, which I was able to develop more consistently with Colombians and Dominicans by communicating with them in Spanish. My better experiences with termas girls who spoke at least a little bit of English probably demonstrated that communication was a significant factor in this regard.

I liked the termas business model enough that it inspired me to add a German FKK tour to my mongering bucket list, given the similarities between those two types of establishments. I had been a bit nervous at first about changing into robes, but by the middle of my trip I adjusted to it so thoroughly that I felt a bit uncomfortable in my normal clothes at 502, where one does not change into a robe. By way of clarification, the robes are more like bathrobes than the "Hugh Hefner" robes that some trip reports described. Being in the looser, freer robe definitely facilitated relaxation and arousal and gave the girls easier access for pre-session foreplay. When I did my pre-trip research, the cover charges seemed a bit steep to me, but now I have a greater appreciation of the costs of maintaining and operating these facilities. The atmosphere at most termas was not unlike that of a strip club in Colombia or CR, and I think that the hiring managers at these termas have similar taste in women. Overall, I would say that the overall quality of my experience was on par with that of MDE; it was better in some ways but weaker in others. It nonetheless cost quite a bit more than a week in MDE, in terms of both money and investment of time and effort. One could probably pay for two weeks in MDE with what a week in RJ could cost. Other, non-monetary costs include the hassle of getting a visa in advance, overnight flights to and from another hemisphere, and a crash course in Portuguese. Even if one finds RJ to be of somewhat higher quality than MDE, RJ is thus much less cost-effective. I am glad that I went this one time, but I do not believe that it would be viable as a repeat destination for me.

That calculation could change under certain circumstances and may also be different for other mongers. A significant reduction in the cost of airfare to Brazil or a favorable shift in the USD-BRL exchange rate would go along way to make another such trip more cost-effective. Learning Portuguese would probably improve the chemistry and GFE and enable me to pursue independents outside the termas at significantly lower rates, but I am disinclined to invest the personal time in mastering another foreign language just for the purpose of mongering in Brazil. With that said, Brazil is significant enough in my line of work that I might be able to persuade my employer to send me there on business or provide Portuguese language training on company time. I am planting the seeds for that effort already.

Other mongers may weigh these factors differently. If you are a Portuguese-speaking millionaire who wants to have anal sex with natural 10's, then RJ would be perfect for you. If you speak Portuguese, you will probably have better GFE and chemistry with the girls in RJ and can pursue independents at lower prices. If you are a millionaire like Justin Bieber or a basketball player, you can go to Centaurus with money to burn and find girls that speak English for a premium price.
