You are highly confused. They have thousands printed on their currency. The average salary in South Korea is 3 million won per month, which is US$2600. For instance when I was there in September a burger and fries in the airport was 8000 won, which was about US$7. To get a better understanding the won is now at 1,152 for 1USD. Instead of the comma being after the 1 imagine it being a period there and it was more like 1USD = 1.15 won. Then it would appear more like 40PHP/won. In some countries the numbers can run so high that you need to knock a couple of (or even a few) digits off the back end to have a better understanding.

The conversion thinking you are using has nothing to do with whether Koreans can afford it or not. Did you realize that if you earn $5,000 a month in the USA you probably could earn 5. 7 million Korean Won per month in South Korea. Hence if a hooker costed $200 in USA she would cost 230 k in South Korea. Generally speaking this concept is called Purchasing Power Parity and I am really simplifying this because this is ISG and not WSJ.

In fact if you were making $5 k a month in USA you may be making $8 k in Norway or $6 k in Japan etc. Etc. Which means you can afford to screw more expensive women than if you lived in the USA.

Basically that's what is happening in Angeles city. Koreans and Japs have more purchasing power. And the latter are also a bit flashy as throwing money around is part of their 'game' to attract women. The Europeans and Americans who do go to Angeles city are not the wealthiest (Income less than $140 k annual for example) so they cannot outspend these Japs.

My take on the Ks etc. Is they can do weekend jaunts and throw money around in AC. In my experience AC and Cebu have been the worst as far as competing w / Ks for the bar girls. There is nothing that can stop them except for the western monger treating the ladies w / respect and kindness. Treat them good and fuck them good, say goodbye w / a smile. All ethnicities carry a reputation w / them and so to me it's the only way to maintain our market share. Oh and don't get old, that seems to be getting in the way of some of my fun w / the top lookers. I really work hard on staying in shape but time is my enemy in regards to attracting the best lookers in the bars and getting that GFE in the room. I did pretty well but missed out on a few dream girls, I'm not K or young enough it seems.

Club ZZYZX and Club Exklusiv, both at the Remedios Circle, Adriatico Street. Have you seen the place? Its teeming with Koreans. The bouncer and reception staff get a good look at you and your girl in tow when you enter the place. I have seen a couple of people being turned away on some minor excuse or the other. Both are great places to party and the girls there are super hot. Most of them are available. But unless you are a young lad with exceptionally good looks and loose purse strings your chances of picking up a PYT are not that great. Because the average Korean has at least 3 slung on his arm and he is pulling out all stops on the spending.

Its an absurdly low limit no doubt but its not like like the Phils peso is the gold standard of world currency anyway. I always take out about 3 to 5 K just so incase when I come back and the exchange windows are closed cause its too late or the lines too long or I just want to get the hell out of the airport.

Don't get too worked up over a newspaper article. Clark is a pretty laid back airport and since virtually all fights are international these days it not like they are going to mess with the passengers. Clark is a very tiny airport that barely operates except certain hours and is dormant most of the day don't confuse it with Manila NAIA and its clusterfuck of 4 terminals surrounding one giant airfield.

The South Korean government has been marketing the Korean culture as cool since it started financing the subtitling, translation, and advertising of Korean soaps abroad in 1992. It aims to become the biggest global exporter of pop culture. Official figure for Korean pop culture export revenue was $4. 6 billion in 2012. The government designated $1 billion to be invested in K-pop and K-dramas. This is all part of an attempt to diversify the Korean economy and reduce its reliance on industry after the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997-1998 forced the country to borrow billions of dollars from the IMF (Hong, 2014).

The idea came about after the Korean government took notice of the large amount of revenue generated by the US in films, and the UK in stage musicals. The process results in 13-year music contracts. This packaging and marketing of Korean culture involves European songwriters, US trained editors, and choreographers from all over the world. Apparently, Korean mongers are benefiting from this marketing of K-pop culture as cool in the Philippines. I recently witnessed a group of Filipina schoolgirls screaming and waving to a few Korean men walking by in a mall much the same way American schoolgirls used to scream at The Beatles decades ago. They are the new "sexy man" in AC and the most attractive lookers in the bars give them puss exclusively because they think it's cool to get drilled by guys that look like older heavier versions of their favorite K-pop and K-drama idols. It is more about the coolness factor than the money. So, now Korean mongers get first dibs on the best quality Filipina puss, plus lots of freebies and GFE.

Non-Koreans can still come away with something decent if they're willing to pay more and lower their expectations. That is just part of the trend in the new AC. There is no point in getting jealous. Recently, I was perambulating along Don Juico when I heard "Hey you, sexy man!" and turned to see some door girls and a mamasan who waved me towards the entrance of a bar called Lune Time. I approached cautiously and stepped through the entrance into a dark and smoky hall. A waitress ushered me to a table and took my order. As my eyes adjusted I noticed that the place was filled with Koreans and almost all of them were smoking. There were no Aussies, Brits, Americans, etc. There were only Koreans! Right away, I noticed the girls here were taller, slimmer, and easier on the eyes than in many other bars. After a while as the different groups rotated on and off stage, I got the impression that the girls were grouped according to characteristics. The groups where like this: tall girls; slim girls; fat girls; and short girls. I must say that the selection was well sorted and organized. It was interesting to see how a Korean bar did things. After a few shows, I left to continue my stroll. I did not get pestered for LDs and did not request any company. So unfortunately, I can't say what luck one might have trying to poach a Korean monger's stunner from there.
