In mid September I will visit Pattaya for the second time. As far as I can tell, September is a bit of a low season, but how does this change supply-and-demand?

When I last visited Pattaya, I entered a few gogo's and a had a massage or tow. But the trip was short and I didn't get much more than a sample.

I have read a fair bit of this thread, and consider myself somewhat prepared for the trip, but I would like to enjoy several different experiences, and hope some of the more.

Experienced member can help me out with a few answers and / or tips.

I am not usually very much at home in clubs, but Insomnia sound interesting. Are the girls there freelancers or hired girls that I should barfine? How many girls are "not available", ie. Not working girls?

Last time I didn't visit much outside walking street, but I gather that several of the Sois are recommended for the more casual pickup. What is the price range here for LT / ST, considering the season?

Any help is welcome![/QUOTE]As mentioned in other posts, there are pro's and con's of both low and high season. I personally prefer low-season since it is slightly calmer. There is still plenty of tail, but you can actually find a seat in the bar or gogo and the girl to punter ratio is more in our favor. That is just my opinion, others may feel differently. That being said, I wouldn't turn down a trip during high-season.

Insomnia is great. Good music, dancing, and girls. They are freelancers (no bar fining).

Any help is welcome![/QUOTE]I went in May and it was ideal I think. No bar was full but there were plenty of girls. Looks like I can't get back until November and am concerned about it being crowded. I did check on hotels and the rates are cheap, so maybe high season won't hit until December.

Read my travel report from last May. I go into my own experiences, bars I went to, activities on Soi 6, prices, lady boys, etc. I was obviously a newbie, but you can learn from my trials and tribulations. BillyBobby has some very helpful posts over the last few days, with some great responses, which I am sure you are reading.

Feel free to ask any more specific questions. But to summarize:

-Yes, hang out on Soi 6. Plenty of very attractive ladies at a good price during the afternoon, and you can bar fine them for a whole day if you want.

-Spend time on Beach Road. Lots of dogs there, and you have to be careful of aggressive lady boys, but there are a few gems there just tying to make a little extra cash and you will give that GFE we all want.

-Get to know the girls outside the bars on Walking Street. I walked back and forth many times, but go to know some of the ladies by doing so. When you finally decide to enter a bar, go in with one of your "friends" and buy her a drink. She will be thrilled. Ask her about the club policies, who the good girls are, who might be available for after hours takeout, and even if she is available. One cutie really liked me (well,.) and though she was not a bar girl, she said I could bar fine her for dinner, and I sometimes got the hint that she would go home with me after work if I wanted. Don't know.

Thanks for your inputs. I was simply asking for recommendations for each category of bar / club / soapie. The idea is to head to the top 2 joints of each category and not waste too much time looking around. Will be grateful for inputs from experienced people here!

For my upcoming trip in 3 days I went back and read 125 pages here and I have spent 6 months in Pattaya during the last 5 years. Going back 5 or 10 pages is not reading a fair bit. All your questions are answered in many posts.

Several guys in the last 3 months have posted excellent long reports on their experiences at club insomnia. You would know that the girls there are freelancers and you do not barfine them. Hence, the attraction for someone on a budget. Why pay 700-1000 baht for a bar fine at a gogo when at insomnia there is no bar fine. Also you aren't paying for lady drinks in insomnia, the price of your drink and any prospective girl are the same-another advantage. A very large percentage of girls in insomnia are available to go home with but they aren't available to everyone necessarily. Some girls will not go with a 70 yr old bald, smelly fat guy that wears flip flops and a singha shirt period. You should have some very good options there though. I would say an average LT price would be shoot for 2000 baht. If you get her for 1500 good for you and if she insists on 2500 don't sweat it pay the extra 500 and go have a good time.

What is your meaning by a more "casual pickup"? Sois 6,7 and Soi metro I enjoy a lot.

Was afraid that rain will drive away freelancers from beach road but luckily not only it did not happen, they were out in huge numbers. Almost 250 every evening, started dwindling sharply after 1 AM. Unfortunately most be 2-3 out of 10 so there is no way I can even be paid to have sex with them. Did see just about 6-8 girls during my 4 nights, snagged a few every evening. One was excellent lay for 700 bahts, few were not too bad for mere 500 bahts. Two were more interested in getting out ASAP so showed them the door after 30/40 minutes and on to next. LOL.

Omigod, the news sounds very encouraging, appreciations for the update. Those 2-3 out of 10, well I would pay for them, where I am currently it is love thy hand. Some are well spoilt out in LOS.

Girls are available in good numbers and if you aren't the one to pick only from Go-Gos (I only go look see, do not pick from Go-Gos much), there should be several FL options too, at your price. WS is a nightmare with several tour groups, that aspect is not going to change soon, but thankfully the clubs get going after 12 and the family touristy crowds tend to thin out by then.
