From what Rick from Rocky's was talking about, it looks like Peter may be doing some hard time. Don't want to start the rumor mil back up on this subject though. Just count on it not being open. However you can pretty much have the same thing at CMP now though. I saw a few Passions chicas from last trip working at CMP this time. CMP is great if you want to go get a 2-hour lap-dance for the cost of one beer plus a drink for your chica at around 100 pesos if you're feeling generous. My few times in CMP I saw lots of dudes coming in for this but not buying. Lots of window shopping LOL. The owners [or management, ] didn't seemed too pleased. On the note of CMP, I was bullshitting with Rick at Mary Rose one day [he was getting a little tipsy drinking scotch on the rocks LOL. Good guy BTW, ] and he mentioned how he got fucked in CMP with a huge bar tab. He hates that place and was adament about mentioning how he'll help out his customers if they are ever in a bind as long as it is not in CMP. His words "you get fucked in CMP, you're on your own." His reputation has been before several times on this board so I don't have to add to it. Just a heads up. You get fucked there, he may not come to the rescue.

Eh, just don't go there anyway LOL. It's not worth it until they drop their prices. 4000 for TLN. Psshhhhhh, yeah right!

I like the idea of trying a different area and interacting with the locals more but I'm not sure if it's the best fit for a short stay (5 days)

In the DR you are guilty until proven innocent from what I hear. Trust me, you are there for 5 days, if you can get in to Mary Rose and there is room for you, go for it! You will not be disappointed! Even one day is worth it just because it is so easy to get to town. By Moto, it's really like a two minute ride. Walking is like ten minutes.

As for hotels, is NG better as compared to Sosua Suites? I'm looking to return soon and NG is frequently mentioned, mostly with good reviews but lately it seems as if people have mixed opinions based off the crowd that stays there. I could care less about the crowd I suppose, I'm in Sosua for some fun. I don't expect a lot of sleep and my body runs just fine with a few good hours of rest. What the crowd does there and who they are (as long as they are not dangerous) , it doesn't affect me really. Sosua Suites was just fine, very convenient location and right across from Rocky's. Bedrooms had a great AC although the rest of the apartment was incredibly hot, need the fan running or the bedroom door left open to offer some level of cool air to the rest of the place.
