I'd be worried if a guy in his 30's or 40's falls head over heels for ANY kind of girl. It means he's not really dealing with reality. The main reason why I think a young guy (say in his 20's or early 30's) should avoid mongering is not the silly stuff talked about the last few days; it's that he's a bit more susceptible to this "head over heels" effect, he doesn't yet have the psychological maturity or just extensive life experience of being in the pay-for-play game, or just dealing with women in general, especially colombianas, LOL! Traveling anywhere in Latin America to monger over Christmastime will be sub-optimal and is not recommended. I would only do it if it is the only time of year you could possibly do it, and even then I would be prepared to be disappointed. But, if you had to go somewhere in Central or South America during Christmas time, Colombia would be as pretty good choice.
