Last time I was there I had good experiences with Pump Station, but it's 3-4 years ago. Yes, they try to pull money by saying, it's a CBJ and you need to pay more if you want BBBJCIM. I always insisted in this price (I think it was 900 B as you stated), but offered a tip if good service.

One thing which I think is unique for Pump Station now, and maybe a good recommendation for newbies: since the ones in Angeles and Subic disappeared, I think this is the last "smile under the table". Bar. Does anyone know another one?

How about next door, "Nice with Ice". Is it still open? Any experiences?

Shark[/QUOTE]The standard charge around town (for Thai and farang) as at 2 weeks ago was 20 baht. This includes the 'group' service from bus terminal around beach road and back up second road.

Jeez one a cheap charlie ,why don't just you walk to your hotel from the bus
terminal and save yourself 10 bht ,share bht bus 20 bht go to the beach rd only drop you off the st corner .

It's on Soi 21 but that's of little use if you are walking on Soi Buakhao between South Pattaya Rd. and Central Pattaya Rd. because there are no signs for the sois leading off it. Luckily there is a sign for it (as well as Dream Teen Massage) on the soi. I'd guess it's about 3/4 of the way north. Note that walking on Soi Buakhao is an experience in itself as there are no sidewalks and lots of traffic on a congested street.

Pretty good fishbowl of about 30 women. Prices are 2000 for regular (red tags) and 2500 for models (blue tags).

I went with Sai #154 and can recommend her. The room was bigger than at Sabai Dee, too.

20 baht can be right, but in the town when you just hop-on-hop-off is 10 bath.
In my years I went to pattaya I have always pay 10 and I have see they the girls pay 5 bath but not all of them some ( new girls ) don't know that they can pay less.
I have see already 2 times some old man ( around 60-70 ) which have pay 5 bath too, why I mention it because it was funny the driver wanted 10 and they have tell him to [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140][CodeWord140][/url] off. But this can be dangerous the driver can get out and hurt you badly you never know what he is doing. Like the only old man when the driver have get out and made some thai kick on him when we have drive away the old man was still on the groound and have scream something like " I will get you for this you son of ..... back when i lived in pattaya - i think it was from about 2002-2006 - i always paid 5 baht, except late at night when i paid 10. i figured late at night the guy was performing a premium service, fewer people about, so less business for him and more chance he might 'do something about it'.

in pratice though, most drivers didn't even make a peep about it, and no one ever stepped out of his sontaow. if you think about what i saved in four years.. say 4 songtaew rides per day, 20 baht per day, times 180 times four = 14,400 baht! (and i was only an occasional user as i had a motorbike). that's nearly 30 short times.

Italy 1974. The problem that they don't understand that way about the tip. In many place if you don't give the tip they got angry whit you. Is a part of the money you must pay. I know are only a few euros. So why you don't go whit coyote lady for 2000+?

You can find the best of the best for only 100 euros. And live the soi 6 for us cheap charly.

If you try to go in some place were only arabic (from saudi arabia and UAE not egyptian or poor arabic) go the "normal" tip is 5000 bath. Some day a month is not live here and the thai lady are very smart and they understand very quick about money they can have.

BUT YES you can tip as much you want. Only when in few yrs the price will go up and up. Then don't bother about.

Remember when we change from lira to euro?

100. 000 lire was changed in. 100 euros. And everybody paid whitout say nothings and that was the new price.

So if one day 700+500 tip will be 1200 normal price. Don't be sad. Ok?

Just wanted to know if things are still possible as I use to be able to travel from terminal to "around" my hotel, never said I needed to be dropped off at the front door. Nearest st corner is fine by me.
If I was able to walk to my hotel (say about 10min or less), I would and don't have to rely on the bus mafia here.
And yes, I do have to sacrifice alot to get here for fun and action as if you had read my post where I had put in my 2 cents about wages, then you will know I dont make much and certainly don't have much left for P4P after all home bills are paid off. So it does take me awhile to save up for a simple trip to Patts and why I can only cum here ever 3-4years. Sorry if I'm not as rich as some of you guys. but at least I do make the effort to make it here when i can.

Any bht bus will take you directly to the bus terminal from beach rd 2 for about 50 bht ,I don't think 50 bht about 1.75 usd will make a big different,the local paid 5 bht for bht bus and we paid 10 bht no big deal .

I was in a baht bus yesterday that had the sign posted saying that the maximum fare from Naklua to Jomtien (which includes Pattaya) is 10 baht. We only paid 10 baht each to go to Jomtien. On the way back the driver asked my friend for 20 but he just shook his head "no" slowly.

Also a fellow from Holland that has spent his winters in Pattaya for the last 10 years (and was with a local woman) told us that the 5 baht fare for locals ended last year, so they pay 10 baht now, too. His other piece of advice: always have exact change.

Let me attempt to clarify this Baht bus issue for everybody.

First, when I first got here the local Thai's did pay 5 Baht. Then, the gas prices went up and EVERYBODY then paid 10 Baht.

Now, gas prices have gone down. The city council changed the prices back to 5 Baht. The Bus drivers are having NONE of that and the price is 10 Baht for everybody.

So, the price for any one way trip is 10 Baht.

Except when you go a long way. The cut off point is Central Pattaya Road which is where Tops Supermarket is located on 2nd Road. If you take the bus to or from Jomtien and go pass 2nd road the price is 20 Baht.

This is not a very good business for the bus drivers.

First, most of them don't own there own buses. The bus licenses are a "Commodity" like taxi or liquor licenses would be in the US. The last time I talked to one of them on this issue was years ago and the value was 800,000 Baht then.

Most of the drivers lease on a daily basis there buses from one of a few large owners of both the buses and licenses. They are responsible for all the gas for the day. So, if a driver does total sales volume of 1,000 Baht they might make 200 Baht for the 12 hour day.

With the tourist coming here now being so low now, due to the world wide financial crises, I really feel for the drivers and wonder how they are even staying alive.

About 95% of them are OK, but 5% or so can be real SOB's.

If you want to have a BIG fight in Pattaya Thailand try and pay one of them 5 Baht. You could literally be threatened with physical violence. It is SO NOT worth 5 Baht to have them SCREAM at you and threaten to kill you. I would not even think about it.

Thanks[/QUOTE]Don't go to VIP in Soi Diamond. It's a run down dump. The rooms are grubby & dilapidated. The girls are gigantically fat. I've never been to the others you mentioned. The best soapy I've used is Sabai Dee on the left hand side of 2nd road at the northern end. It's clean modern & bright with a lot of pretty girls from 2 in the afternoon onwards. Don't go to the other Sabai one soi before "Dee". It's also been allowed to run down & it's filthy. The 3rd Sabai, on the RHS of 2nd road roughly opposite the other 2 is quite good.

They all have huge signboards advertising these pills. They sell only the official versions which are more expensive than the generic. I'm in the same category as you. The 1st time you take Viagra etc. it might not have a great effect. But if you take 1 a day for 3 or 4 days the effect becomes significant.

Bill I have to disagree with the 95/5% good & SOB drivers.

Anytime I have been getting 1 to take me to the bus station from 2nd road or central Pattaya road or going 2 hotel from sukhumvit rd these guys see farang & see it as an opportunity to scam/over charge tourists.

I've been quoted as high as 200bhat for the trip & most of them won't go below 100. I know it isn't a 10 or 20baht trip, I'm willing to go as much as 60 to be fair, but thai men; especially, the older & uneduacted hate farangs witha passion & all they want to do is rip us off.
