Waterboy and Donny when you guys are looking for girl in Havana, are you guys on foot? If you want to score action everyday all you need is a car to meet girls in Havana. Guys if you have a car you can pick up girls like crazy. If you have a car and drive to Santa Maria Beach you can pick up a hotie like Carla. She is real sweet . I met Carla in March along the Via Blanca standing at the Red Light. She asked me if I was going to the beach and I said yes. The rest as they say is history. The picture does not do her justice. She is real pretty and her service was great all day. Took her out to Lunch and dinner that day at Santa Maria, cost for service was 40 CUC, plus a ride back to her home.

Enjoy pick gentleman, but this is the kind of action you will get if you have a car.

Thanks Cubanito. I wouldn't have the courage to get a car there. I used taxis or bicitaxis most of the time. I did take a trip in a taxi to the beaches. Santa Maria is one of 3 to the east of Havana right? Saw quite a few local chicks but none that seemed like theyd be available. Well done to you though.

I did pick up hitchers. Out of the dozens of hitchers I picked up, one gave me her number, but she had plans at the time and due to previous commitments, I couldn't reconnect with her later on. The other hitchers I picked up, said they had boyfriends/husbands or had some place to go at the time (I suppose that's why they were looking for a ride! ).

I had a car in Holguin & Bayamo, but I ditched it. In Holguin & Bayamo, it was easier to connect and talk with girls on foot.

A car adds to your costs: 45 CUC/day for 7 days for a sub-sub-compact. Your daily costs come to: 45 car + 20 food + 40 jinitera + 25 Casa + 40 drinks/misc = 170 CUC/day.

A car is good if you are travelling all over the countryside. If you are in a city for a while, it becomes a liability. You have to park it and worry about it or hire a guy to watch it. BTW. The going rate to watch your car is 1-2 CUCs.

Cuba is an amazing country: some young guy will watch your car for 8 hours to earn a measly dollar. Yet a young girl charges 40 CUC to watch your pinga for 8 hours!

Driving in Cuba is interesting. The autopista nacional is nearly deserted. In the cities there are ZERO roadsigns. I always got lost coming to/from Habana (especially from the airport). When driving in Cuba you typically have to stop every 2 km and ask someone directions. The other option is to give a lift to a local who will steer you in the right direction. I was giving so many rides to people, I felt like a taxi service.

As for Bicitaxis. In Habana they are a RIP OFF. I will walk a mile before I use one of them in Habana ever again. In the provincias, the guys are reasonable.

Cubanito, do you think that by hiring a taxi, one could accomplish the same results as if one had his own rental car?

While in Habana, I hired a taxista one nite to do an exploration of the cities providers. I asked the taxista to drive me around and find me a provider. We went all over town for several hours and I bargained with several providers. I have my doubts about using a "finder" (i.e. the taxista). I think that at times they a) jack up the price to get a cut and b) they purposely steer you AWAY from the majority of the girls, preferring to steer you to girls where they know they can be sure to get their commission, or get a higher commission. I told the guys that I would do my own bargaining. I posted the prices and results of my survey earlier this year.

I would have thought that finding a pro in Habana would be easy. The taxista stopped at the Casa De La Musica on Galiano and talked to a bouncer there, inquiring as to who in the large crowd outside who was a provider. I was informed that there were only two providers that nite, only one was attractive. She initially asked for $100 and after I got done laughing, I eventually bargained her down to $50. However, this was my first find of the evening, I felt that the price was a bit high for Habana, and thought I could do better, so I moved on to get more results for my survey.

In retrospect, I think my best choice would have been to exit the cab at the Casa De La Musica on Galiano and to have worked the crowd myself for semi-pros/jiniteras. Find a girl, pay her cover and buy her drinks.

You are mising the point man! If a girl is willing to get into the car with you, half of the battle is over. The other 50% is how much game you have. Once you have them in tha car if you invite them for a Soda or anything like and she is interested you will the have the deed done in about 2 or 3 hours. But you must talk to these girls that get in the car with you. If you gave ride to girls in Bayamo and Holguin area your Dick should be faling off. I know that mine is whenever I go to this region of Cuba. YOU HAVE TO TALK TO THE GIRLS GUYS!!!!

The picture below is a Girl I met on the road out of Las Tunas by the circle going to Holguin. After I invited her for a couple of Drinks, she spent the day with me. She is a Great Girl. The service she provide was very, very good. The cost Lunch, Dinner and $60 CUC. I know she was a little high but she was woth every penny. We have maintain a friendship and I will see her when I come back in late July. Her name is Daismara. She does have a Boyfriend/Husband, but we are very discreet about our arrangement.

Can not comment because I never used it. I used a chulo/pip the first time I was in Cuba back in 1999. That was the last time I used them when I found out that the girls had to give them half of their money. From that point on I made a habit of doing business with them directly and paying them.

Have u driven in any other Country outside the US? If you have driving in Cuba is no different.

The majority of cubanas will get into the car with practically anybody.

In Cuba "pidiendo una botella" (hitching a ride) is practiced by 95% of the population. Their are scores of people waiting at the autostops. The practice is institutionalized, with government employees called "yellow jackets" that match passengers with available seat.

Her getting into the car with you just means she needs a ride.

This is a safe country. Violent crime is rare. People are very trusting.

" "what are you doing later? "

My Results:

1.) At first, when she said she had a boyfriend/husband, I would stop my seduction attempts. Later on, as I got desparate, I said "No importa, quisieras accompanarme por ua copa? " (Doesn't matter, want to have a drink with me? " The result was always the same: she had someplace to go, someplace to be. Outside Holguin, one girl couldn't spend time with me because she was meeting her husband in the prison.

2.) I tried to pick up mostly single girls. Most of the girls didn't travel alone. One common trick was: the young girl would stand alone, hitching. When I stopped, the whole family would come out of the shadows to take advantage of the ride. Madre, Tia, Hijo. Worse yet: her boyfriend/husband/male companion would crawl out of the shadows.

3.) If it was two young girls travelling together, the game was on. I tried to hit on both of them, however.

4.) The presence of an older woman/older man had a dampening effect, as she acts as a defacto chaperone. When a cuban girl wants to do P4P, she wants to do it discretely.

As a mongering tactic: I wouldn't recommend renting a car and driving around just to pick up girls. There are better methods. However if you happen to be driving someplace and see a girl, by all means, pick her up. You never know.

Maybe my results differed from yours because my spanish is nowhere near as good as yours. Maybe I need to spice up my game.

I hate to challenge anything Water Boy says, but I don't agree with his opinion that Mexicana "routinely shares" their manifests with the U. S. I have been to Cuba more than 10 times and always fly via Mexicana Airlines into Jose Martí Int'l. Even though Cubana hasn't had any planes fall from the sky, recently that I know of, I've heard too many horror stories of shaky flights. I have asked Mexicana their policy, over and over again, about sharing passenger information. They have told me the only way this information is shared with the U. S. Is if they are looking for a criminal/terrorist. I would think by now my name would have triggered some kind of red flag if Mexicana shared this information. I have many friends taking the same route and no one has been caught or questioned in this regard. I would know someone who, at least, was questioned by U. S. Immigration in this regard if this info was being shared. If the U. S. Government does have this info, they do not care! I stay in an illegal CP's in Habana Vieja and have had no problems with mis caseros in regard to my chicas or getting stuff stolen. The casas are well fortified in regard to break-in and the casero is usually una casera that I have mutual friends/aquaintances.

Illegal casa are like gold in Cuba. If you can get a good one that you cn bring as many chicks as you want whenever you want that i shard to share. You do not ant to lose something like that.

Heading down to Havana this weekend for some mojitos, a little R&R and some cuban hospitality. Enjoyed a half dozen trips over the past eight years but nothing in the past two.

This will be the first summer trip and was wondering if that beach just east of Havana (I forget the name) might be a good place to meet some local girls on the weekend since it is summer.

I understand that things are different than they were a few years ago when Johnny's, Commodoro and the other clubs were like shooting fish in a barrel but with a bit of game we hope to find some fun. Of course we'll do the Casa de la Musica but what about that fashion house fashion show or other places?

Any up to date, real advice would be appreciated. I'll report back upon my return.
