After composing quality maps for Bogota with Google Maps a few months ago I figured it had to be done for Quito. I initially liked Full Throttle's idea of a dynamic map but it is not customizable enough for me, at least not yet -- pins instead of numbers, pop-up texts instead of straight-pasted text, etc. It is not practical to be printed off, carried and used on the street.

The new picture maps are attached below -- clean, sharp and detailed. Isolating six "hot spots" -- Central 1 & 2, 10 de Agosto, Airport, North Quito, South Quito, a total of fifty chongos with brief notes.

Come January 2009 I will update the Quito Fuckclub List with a few changes.

For a die-hard explorer (s) out there: upon my last month in Quito I received a tip from a chica there are chongos in a district called Chillagallo, of south Quito. One chongo is called El Kalevito, open during noon to 6pm only (daytime), fichas for $6 (yes, 600 pennies). I believe she added there are two other chongos like it (hours/price) in the same area.

Does anyone know if the three chongos of La Luna are still closed?
