Maybe other cities are better, but Paris is not impossible. The clubs DSK favored may not be accessible, but others are.

Some tips:

- Arrive shortly after opening since they usually have a quoted in single males as well as a surcharge.

- Unless you look like Tom Cruise, some language skill is needed. Before the action people gather over drinks and talk about other things. Strike up a conversation, you don't have to be fluent, but you have to try and be interesting. This way a couple might invite you to spend some time with them as the evening progresses.
