Direct booking does give the widest choice though as the online aggregators are often only given an allotment of rooms with the remainder retained by the hotel to be sold by them through their sales department when online options are showing 'sold out'.

Can usually get better prices direct as a frequent user compared to the online sites but I still use at times. If only to compare process with the direct option.

I look up both the hotel site and the booking sites.

Then I decide which is better for me taking into all accounts.

And if your using using your real number via WiFi then that number is known to the someone besides the girl your seeing.
