I'm sorry but I don't understand, I have to spend R$ 200 in total or R$ 200 every day x 7= R$ 600?
As Sperto suggests ask her beforehand and come to an understanding.

200x7 makes 1400. :)
I meant R$ 200 for the whole time. Just a suggestion.
I don't know your girl or what she want.
The pro's I stay with I pay what we agree on.
The piranhas I try to get as cheap away as possible, preferable a dinner.
The regular girls I don't mind giving a nice present.
As it's your first time in Rio I would suspect that you might have met a pro. She might be expecting something that might surprise you. Ask her.
I just got back from Rio recently. If you are not into going to termas, discos or taking the escort route, you may want to try this place. The Balcony Bar is a bar with a patio restaurant out front. While you are eating the girls lined up by the railing or inside the bar itself are all available for take-out. You might even want to invite one over to eat with you or just have a drink.
Once your deal is made, just exit the place turn left and head up the street one block to the Duroverde Hotel. It's on Rua Duvivier and Rua Ronaldo de Carvalho. The girls know where it is I'm sure.
Had a great time with a couple of chicas I grabbed from the bar. Using the Copacabana Palace Hotel as your starting point, face the beach and turn left. Go about a block and a half as if heading for Leme Beach. It is right next to a building that says La dolce Vita, I think. The Balcony Bar is great.
Happy hunting guys. Too bad we can't fuck them all.
What times are the girls generally available? Only late night or in the afternoons also?
What times are the girls generally available? Only late night or in the afternoons also?
Balconey bar is owned by an american man called David Edger. He also runs an apartment rental company. He has done a good job improving balconey over the last 18 months or so. You can find women there anytime of the day or night, quality varies though.

Practically 24hrs, though not at the same intensity. It gets quiet when they try to tidy up (see my sunrise at balcony post some time back) or early morning. Picks up towards early evening. But it's a fallback position for girls as well as punters. Plan b after Help didn't work, for instance. Some don't even have a plan a. Many troll the bars, especially Balcony to Prado Junior till the very early hours.

When I come back I want to try all the bars around the Prado Junior area. I went to one with a garota and her friend and paid R50+ for 3 drinks. So i wasn't that impressed. Was it you Christopherd who reported on the bars in this area? It would be good to know which are good and bad.
There were a few of you who were looking for an Asian beauty. Found her in Classificados Odia.

I had to read that twice. I thought R50 for two girls including drinks wasn't bad at all. Then I figured you meant just the drinks rofl. Either you were right ripped off or drinking in the posh French bar or both. A beer in Bar Prado is only 2 or 3 reals. Mind you, there's plenty of less than posh people there willing to relieve you of money if you feel the need. I take it you know your way around and how to blend if you're going to lower yourself to my standards ;)
Yes, it was me that did the Prado bar guide some while back. Sorry, don't have the URL to hand.

We sat in one bar to start off with that was for locals. They gave us some plastic chairs and we sat outside on the pavement as it was busy inside. 3 big bottles of beer came to around 10 reals. We then moved on to the bar I mentioned. From what I can remember it was on the left hand side of the street facing the beach. After looking at the map it was probably opposite the strip bars Erotica or Nikos. I think the owner may have been a gringo. Tall man with a bold head. Anyways this was my first visit to this area, but will give it another go after some more research.

Yep. Sounds right. I generally avoid the (latter) place although felt I had to have a few drinks there when I was trying to write about the Prado bars generally. There are one or two fans of it on here I believe.
Reported in today's Oglobo, Seven architectural firms are competing for the $R44 Million construction project to build the Museum of Sound to replace Disco Help.

It would also be handy if anyone could report on the strip bars in the area
aswell.
Quick question for those in the know:
How much of the amount charged for an hour with a GDP in a Terma...say 4x4 for example (please also report on others if known, including private massagems) at 200R for a standard cabine...does a GDP get?
I figure this is a good question as it gives us an idea of where to begin negotiations for take out; theory being if they normally get 100R for an hour on site, then 200-250R for 3 hrs or all night would be a steal for us!
Thanks in advance!
I know there is a ibis hotel in centro but whats the name of the other one near there.
I think it is formule .
Spot on. Formule 1. It's marginally cheaper but less nice. More like a posh youth hostel. Can't recall the name of the sawdust and brown windows place opposite. I think the name might just be Rio Hotel.
The Formule is an ok overflow option if the Ibis is full (they have some formal links and recommend each other). But th eIbis is better at a posh price. The Rio is good at a sh*tty price.
Ibis Rio de Janeiro Centro
R. Silva Jardim
Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 20050-060, Brazil
(21) 3511-8200 (I think)
Formule 1 Rio de Janeiro Centro
Rua Silva Jardim, 32 - Centro - Rio de Janeiro - RJ - Brasil
Telefone: (21) 3511-8500
Rio Hotel (good porto needed)
Rua Silva Jardim, 3
Centro - Rio de Janeiro - RJ - CEP: 20050-060
Telefone: +55 (21) 2282-1213
There's another Ibis over the other side of Centro that a colleague stayed in - quite ok part of town but less handy for cheap hookers.
Hotel Ibis Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont-Rede
Rua Mal Cāmara, 280 - Centro
Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 20020080, Brazil
(21) 3506-4500
Exit numbers and 55 for all of these if you're phoning from outside Bras.
Memo to newbies: This is not the Rio you will see recommended from the hype and there are some streets nearby - such as the one that runs past the cathedral - where you should take care at night. Centro's good once you've got Copa or Ipanema outta the system so to speak. If it's your first trip, the Copa/Ipa options are still the best initiation probably. You can always grab a cab/bus/metro to see Centro.
