my first night in shanghai was i thought going to be a disappointment because i was told that the shanghai hotel was closed, (i was to learn later that at the moment just a little unsafe), and i was going to visit a new (for me) place.
this was about a 50rmb ($8) ride out of town and for those of you wish to visit i have their card and will happily forward the details.
when i first walked in there was a certain sureness that the service i was to offered here was going to be at least the equal to that of the previously mentioned hotel. up a wide curved staircase that lead to a reception area. no talk of money just come this way.
we went into a large change area where there were lockers a bit like your local footy club. here you undressed with everyone else and left your goods and chattels in your own locked locker. you take the key and there are half a dozen attendants to ensure safety.
to a shower that had new tooth brushes, new razors, shampoo and conditioner loafers and aftershaves.
