Pattaya Reports

Someone on this forum mentioned the Kinnaree Club in Pattaya as a good place. Can someone give details about it, such as location etc? I looked through a bunch of posts here, plus did a search on this forum, but couldn't find it. Thanks.

Original plan was to spend Friday and Saturday night in BKK before going to Pattaya. Now considering going directly to Pattaya from BKK airport. By the time I get oriented and find the taxi stand it will likely be around 3:30 pm on a Friday afternoon. If I went to my my hotel near Nana Plaza what time would I expect to arrive? If I went straight to Pattaya what time would I expect to arrive?

Also, does Pattaya have a place similar to MBK? Alternatively, which is the best shop near Walking Street entrance to get a phone and SIM?

Banana Boi, There's a load of places right there landside at BKK. When you get to Pattaya Tucom is the place. You can't go wrong. I even managed to get one of the sales girls to meet me at Insomnia, but just for drinks which was a shame but I didn't care because she was as pretty as Thai girls go. Pedro.

So chances are that if you meet a chick elsewhere, such as a gogo then she has already done her time in Soi 6 and learned the lay of the land enough to graduate and venture out to work other places. So actually a Soi 6 girl would more than likely have less mileage on them!

If just electronics then as Pedro said you would go to Tukcom. You should just get a SIM card at the airport right outside of customs, especially since now they are required to be registered and you will already have your passport in hand.

I am a little confused re the price at Kinnaree since I have been there only once. I may have paid 1500 to the girl and 300 for the room (been a while, so may have mixed up the rates). I was told that was a standard rate for all of the girls. Since you mention 1000 B to be the standard, just wanted to check if this needs to be negotiated before going to the room or have rates changed across the board at this place.

They normally ask for a tip on top of that. 200 baht will suffice. The cost of the short time room is currently 350 baht.

[/QUOTE]My last trip I headed down to Pattaya direct from the airport and ran into a bottleneck of traffic. Took me 3 hours to get to my hotel. Peak time I'm guessing is what I hit (around 8 am). I'm guessing that Friday at 4 pm is also going to be peak time. I think I'd rather run the risk of peak time heading to Bangkok vs Pattaya.

Friday afternoon is the worst time of the week to go to Pattaya as a lot of people from Bangkok go to the beaches or countryside to spent the weekend.

You will be at Nana in about one hour.

So I'm enjoying myself at Happy a-go-go last night. Good lineup of hotties.

I had 3 happy hour drinks and bought 1 lady drink for a cute hostess I know there.

3 x 80 +140 = 380 baht. I handed the waiter a 500 baht note. He then wrote on the back of my slip "420. " I just took the pen out of his hand, crossed out the 420 and wrote "380. " he looked at it, finally nodded, waied me, and brought my correct change.

Lesson: always know the exact total of your bin before you hand over the money. Don't trust the wait staff. They make mistakes, and some of them will cheat you if the opportunity arises. Check your bin!

And I confirm that the normal price I always paid is 1000 baht plus 350 b for the room. If you need to wait for the room some girl try to charge with some more Lady Drinks. Usually they ask 1500/2000 baht if you ask for anal or lesbo 3 some. I never paid more than 1000 plus room at Kinnaree for standard service and if someone will ask me 1500 plus room I'll move next.
