I caught something during my first trip which I attributed to the suboptimal conditions of Jakarta = weakened immune: AQI, nonexistent ventilation at many venues (rooms and smoke), and constant temperature fluctuations (not weather).

Honestly, wasn't surprised though given a handful of these venues are petri dishes of bacteria and the rise of whatever new variant of C19 since the new year. Who knows how under reported H5 N1/2 is in Asia as well.

Symptoms were excessive Rheum (eye boogey), sore throat, chest pains, and fatigue. Daily antibiotics and various other prescriptions cleared it up in a week. Stay safe!

My mask was somewhere in my bag but pushed my way through the crowd. A few days later I came down with flu symptoms. I tested neg for Covid but was bedridden for a few days. Lost 10 pounds.
