I dare say that Sharks does not invest heavily in customer relations and service training for its staff.

You must remember that many of the bar staff and reception ladies are ex Working girls so what you bring is the service that they had prior to the job and their attitude to men.

A few months ago, I arrived at Sharks and I saw that there was a little bit of a line of people waiting while the reception lady was arguing with some guy who came to deliver a matras.

It was a tasteless display of unfriendliness and unprofessionalism, as she was making phone calls to the boss (who more or less refused to take any responsibility to sort out the situation, and instead was basically telling her to 'call somebody else' arguing with the guy about an incorrect delivery date, calling somebody else, arguing with a colleague where to put this matras, and at the same time leaving 7-8 customers (455-520 Euro in entry fees alone!) and a WG + her customer who needed change, waiting in a line like little school children for a good 10 to 15 minutes.

You're right though that Sharks can 'afford' to treat customers like shit because the line-up compared to other clubs. A problem will arise however if the line-up should deteriorate in comparison to the competing clubs, and customers will have absolutely zero loyalty towards Sharks when deliberating between which club to visit. As a matter of fact, unprofessional behaviour like this will persuade customers to 'give the competing club a try,' which will then quickly lead to a new club becoming the best place to be for both WG's and customers.

It takes a long time to build a good reputation, but it only takes a few bad experiences for that good reputation to vanish, and because of the internet word will spread very quickly.
