Day 1 - Lotus Lounge as my Welcome to Brazil
Ok, well, that was a hell of a welcome to Brazil!
I have been reading (and over-posting questions) in anticipation of my first visit to Brazil.
I got in yesterday, and it rained so fucking hard there was no doubt that I am not in Kansas any more. I had to do a work dinner, so decided the fun would begin today.
I got up and walked around my neighborhood. Stopped in at a grocery store, grabbed a coxinha at a cafe and tried to exchange $. No dice with the photocopied passport. But that's ok. I was able to get out $400 brl from an ATM. I think I will probably stick to paying with my card to avoid the cumulative fees from all the ATM withdrawals it would take to party right.
I decided to keep it local and start in the middle ground to get a sense of what I can expect this week. My apartment is very near several high end clinicas and Bomboa 222.
I sent Whatsapp messages to Taj Mahal and Lotus to check their line up. They both sent through lists of ladies who looked way too good to be true. I used Google Translate to ask if any spoke English. Taj said they all spoke some. Lotus said that only one girl named Ipanema did. Her photos were pretty spectacular and didn't look overly photoshopped. She was also available right then, so I booked it and called an Uber for what should have been a 15 min ride.
It was a 40 min ride. Holy fuck the side street traffic is no joke here.
Anyhow, I got there and the guy behind the desk took me straight to a room. A bed, a chair and a bathroom. All super clean and new feeling. 10 min went by and I was thinking maybe I was supposed to shower or something, but I didn't want to do anything until I saw her.
She finally came in and oh lord. This girl is gorgeous. A beautiful face, flawless skin, classy black lingerie. I was definitely expecting something a little rougher around the edges. She looks like the photos massage parlors in the states use as bait and switch photos.
She does not actually speak English.
That's fine, because at this point, I am willing to communicate entirely by smoke signals to keep her in the room. I shower off while she lays out her kit of supplies, and then she offers a massage. It's clear she has taken at least one massage class, but also clear that she isn't here to give me a back rub. She got hallway up my body before the flip, and she went pretty directly into a really nice BBBJ. She wasn't rushing, but she wasn't teasing too much either. The one I never did. For 780 brl all-in, I would be happy just going back to her every day.
Now that I have a baseline. I wish I had another six weeks here and a better paying job. I think tomorrow I will explore the Moema area with the regular clinicas. Prime and Abbóbora are both on my list.
I'm also torn between Scandallo and Bomboa. I can walk to the latter. I am not really a dance-club kind of guy either, which seems to be the vibe that Scandallo is celebrated for. But then again, I am here, and it's the legendary spot. Not going seems like a missed opportunity. Maybe I will go to Scandallo and commit to just getting dinner there.
Tomorrow, I guess I will try to pick up some tadalafil from a pharmacy too.
Time to go get some sushi.
Hotel / Airbnb Area Recommendations
Which neighborhoods and areas would you recommend or avoid staying in? I was thinking to book an airbnb near Scandallo since it might help avoid traffic.
Any experiences at Scandallo solo? Not big on smoking or drinking myself and based on reports it seems that's how you attract women with the name brand stuff and having a booth. Planning on visiting in June, and wondering if it'll be awkward if I went alone and got a booth for myself.
Don't see too many reports on freelancers or working girls on the street, if it exists at all here.
