I am a 51 y.o. American from Hawaii. I will be coming to The PI on January 5, 2003, planning to spend time in Manila, Cebu and anywhere else that anyone recommends as having a vibrant nightlife. I'm not a fan of Angeles, having been there numerous times. Any recommendations outside the Manila-Angeles-Puerto Galera-Cebu loop? I used to come to the PI regularly during the heyday of M.H. Del Pilar in the late 80's and early 90's but have been going to Thailand these past few years. I'm searching for some lady who speaks passable-to-decent English as well as knowing her way around the bedsheets. I shall be in Makati in mid Feb for 5 nights.

Please can you tell me where the best place is at the moment to pick up a normal non pro? Any in bars/clubs would be welcome. I arrive Friday evening so will have no time to check the place out. I am staying in the Peninsula and am 32.

Also, what are the current Best places for the TOP end girls.
Is it still Jools, LA Cafe and bottoms.

It goes to show you that most customers are staying away from Makati.
Having said that, I love Makati, but, am increasingly growing tired of seeing the prices going through the roof.
Most prices have doubled in 4 years. Its crazy. BArfines are now around 3000pesos. The ladies' drinks are around 300-350 pesos (that's $12-14 for a drink !). All is negotiable.
As for girls, yes, I like Bottoms. As for Jools, I've always liked the floor show, but, on my last trip, they charged me an additional 800p for a "floor show charge !" Something I have never seen before. I only stayed for 2 drinks, and never saw the show, so I asked the Momasan to remove the 800p off the bill. When she refused, I told her, "if you make me pay this 800p, I wont give anyone a tip, its your choice."
I hear that Wasabi is a great place to meet girls also. You can walk there from the Manila Pen (100yrds), its around the corner when you turn into the main entrance of the Pen.

For a change, go to Hard Rock, (especially on Sunday nights, if there is a band call 9mm), lots of girls on their nights off go there.

Hello, finally there is some hint of activity here. First of all I was born in the P.I. (pinoy by birth) and spent the last 22 years in the US of A. And I would like to make some justifications and clarifications on why most foreigners (white americans, black americans, aussies, brits, arabs, japs, chinks etc.) seem to find pinays, which they somehow find attractive, but to a majority of us born in P.I. appear really ugly???!!!!. We (da pinoys) know what a really good looking filipina looks like, right. Well, we are probably right in our own perspective, but they probably would find that really odd in their perspective.

Let me tell you a short story (I'll make it really short). During my first few months in the US I sought after white women since I found them really attractive and different. And I was overjoyed when I had my first blonde blue-eyed girlfriend. Anyways, the funny thing is when I introduce her to my buddy (white american) he told flat out "how can you stomach going out with that 'dog looking' person!?". I was really surprised since to me the girl is absolutely hot since I was so turned on by blondes.

Anyways to make a long story short, one of my other white buddies wanted to show me a picture of her filipina girlfriend and boasted that she was the foxiest girl he ever met on the face of this earth. I couldn't really wait and was expecting to see a picture of some filipina movie star (the likes of gloria diaz or elizabeth oropesa) but to my utter surprise this gal was worse-looking than the maid we had at one time when I was growing up!

As I look back after 20 years of living in the US and looking back at the picture of my first white girlfriend I believe my white buddy was right she is really dog looking, but back then she didn't look that way to me (blondes and blue eyes were hot). I believe that after all these years I finally was attuned to what was attractive and disgusting after living in a foreign culture for awhile.

So give non-pinoys a break. After 20 or so odd years they will know what we are talking about....

Hope you all read my last post. Which brings me to my second point and probably give a shot at explaining why prices are much higher in the Makati area than most other areas in Manila or Quezon City (although most of you may not agree). I'll try my best.

You see Makati is supposed to be the Beverly Hills of the P.I. by analogy of course, I guess (although it really does not approach the glamor of BH 90210). This is the commercial hub of P.I. and this is where all foreign businesses have their overseas HQ's and offices (courtesy of the Ayala's, if u know what I mean). Although this hub is being expanded to the more recent Alabang Hills area which will probably be the New Makati and we should start a new section about it.

To get back to my point, I see it this way. If you are a jet-setter and don't have problems with a budget (that most of us do in this forum) the prices in Makati will be just peanuts for you. Take a look at it this way. Imagine yourself a jet-setter, where is the first place you would hang out in: France (Paris), Japan (Tokyo), USA (BH of course), UK (London), and so in P.I. (Makati) etc. so on so forth.

My point being that this is where the Rich Ritz pinoys, tsinoys, Japanese businessmen, Brits, expartriates, Korean and Chinese tourists and of course some of you and me who have the dollas$ to dole out and could afford to hang out in the plush places that Makati has to offer. These are what's driving the prizes up the ceiling.

But there is one thing I can tell you, it's worth every penny you have since most of the girls in the Makati clubs are more prettier, and younger than can be found in other areas (again most of you may disagree). It's all a matter of status quo. What I mean is if you hang out in Makati your considered 'Ritz' (although this may not be the right term).

On my next post I'll fill you in on my experiences (some nights ending up with orgies) with the girls you can find in the Clubs in Makati i.e. the Japanese clubs located near the Tower Inn and Renaissance Hotel in Makati to the so-so Clubs at Burgos St.

Till then, I hope I have enlightened the unenlightened.

Depending on how much time I have left after sorting a few business problems I should have a few days in Makati. Its been 1 year since I was last hunting in P.Bourgas St and what a time I had!!!. The last time I was in Foxys and what a time I had!!! Can anyone give me an update on Foxys or recommend another bar.

Foxy's is always good. As for myself, I have only been back to Makati a few days over the last 6 months or so.
But, I would encourage you to try Bottoms and Hollywood. I always have fun there.
Also, you might want to try something new. Ivory Jungle has an upstairs that apparently gives good BJ's.
There are a couple of new bars that I have heard about too, but havent visited. I know of the name of one is Billboard.

I hope to see more posts here in this forum. Its been lacking quite a bit lately. I wonder....does that mean that there are fewer of us going to Makati?
Yeah, it'd be nice to see them drop the prices a bit....outrageous compared to Thailand....

Thanks for the advice. Its good to hear that Foxys is still good for some fun. I shall try Bottoms and Hollywood while I am out hunting and if I have time maybe the Ivory Jungle. Many thanks once again.

You want to know Makati -- it is my area of expertise.

Makati has probably 15 options (or more) on P. Burgos street plus 4 or so Casas around Casino street. Prices vary if you know the game.

There are many beautiful girls and over the past two years great experiences have been achieved at:

Go Go Bananas
Montana
Hollywood
Papillon
Foxys

Of these Foxys is now the best value as the bar fines there have been dropped to 1500 -- 2000 versus most other places.

Wild West is our fall back -- good value for the same bar fine as Foxys

For aggressive in-house action (BJ in your seat in public) Bottoms will do. Great music and action, just a little too aggressive.

As a rule you need to choose carefully. Not everyone will go out and not everyone who goes out will stay the night and not everyone who stays the night is in for all out sex all night -- but they are there and when you get them, keep them.

Casas are a function of the time of day. Too late and teh merchandise is picked over. Best deal there is the 2 for 5K scenario -- no tip. Usually you can pick one who will be awake at any point. The earlier the better with 8 or 9 the best time to go.

If you are on a limited budget or trying to sustain a week or so, just troll at 2 -- 4 and you will get good value. Watch the ladyboys on the street.

Heckle and Jeckle and Filling Station are two poolrooms that have nice girls available sans bar fines. You have to invest some time in a relationship. So the trade-off is time at a poolroom versus fun in a bar versus instant gratification at the casas. The bar scene is my favorite as you really check attitude before you buy.

I was there two years ago in Makati. What's the story on the Japanese Clubs along Pasay Road. You know the 'Club Emporium', 'Neptune', and I forgot the names of others, but, I believe there are about 5 or 6 of them on that strip. I did hang out at the P.Burgos bars which is more cheaper but I find that the girls at the Japanese Clubs to be more prettier (8-10 scale) and younger but a bit more expensive.

You will spend at least $120 if you hang out all night in one those jap clubs (includes food, beer, karaoke, and the company of young women). More expensive than the P.Burgos bars (about $40-50) and the P. Burgos girls are more easier to pick up but then again like I was saying...

I stayed at the Tower Inn Hotel (good price $25 /night and good accomodations) which is also located along that strip. Then I would I would barhop the strip and spend about 1 or 2 hours in one club until I find a girl I like and I would talk them into either going out with me after the club closes or meet them at the Hard Rock Cafe in Glorietta before they go to work the next day. I was successful most of the time and I scored about 75-80% of the time.

As a matter of fact, one time, I had fun with 2 girls at the Club Emporium. After my third time in the club I was able to entice those two luscious lasses to meet me at Glorietta the next day. And here is what happened. We had dinner and drinks at the TGIF's and one of them told me that she was off that night but the other one had to work. After TGIF's we went to Hard Rock Cafe and then the other girl said that she did not feel like going to work that night either (JACKPOT!!). But she told me that she would incur a P500 pesos penalty plus no wages that night which would amount to about P1000 pesos. So I just told her not to worry about it and gave her P2000 pesos (about $40). She was so thrilled and she stayed and danced the night away with me and the other girl (ME with 2 girls all to myself Unbelievable!!!).
To make a long story short we ended up at my room at the hotel and I'll just leave it to your imagination.

Although there was no heavy girl-girl stuff that went on I was able to coax these girls, with some hesitation on their, into kissing and frenching with each other but unfortunately they were not into it and that was all there was to it. The best part was being a human sandwich and being able to experience two of them in one night.

If you go from the main part of Makati it is about a 5 minute taxi drive. As you approach the Bautista Street the best casa is to the left. There are 4 or 5. Taxi drivers will know.

I have been 5 times and although it may seem a little aggressive, you are the boss. Just leave if you don't like it.

Had 1 absolutely great and 2 mediocre experiences there.

Can someone give me some information on where to find some action in the Alabang area or surroundings.? This area is coming up very fast, but I dont seem to find any places.
