WOW! I'm puttin it in twice for that price.
thumperrr is a northeast monger who getsto tj about 3 or 4 times a year and bt in nl about twice ayear. other locations less frequently.
over the years there have been 3 or 4 main topics repeated ad nauseum:
1. i'm new, tell me everything about this $4.62 pussy. wheres adelitas, how much is a cab, whats a good night.
2. police are [CodeWord125] sheep inthe street and think eberything a gringo says is "baaaah".
3. girls are dirty, tell me about the health laws, versus simple hygene.
4. how can i tell a hot one from the 9 seconds of talk downstairs. she rubbed me nice at the bar, doesn't that mean she really likes me/ will let me come on her face?
5. and of course the all time favorite - here i sit in my $29,000 piece of shit car that cost $11,000 when i started coming to tj. i just filled it up for $60, it used tocost $35 , and anyway, we were talking about rising prices and not all this other shit...... so please, explain to me why proces go up...
here is an answer that no one has mentioned - the plurality of mongers. as baby boomers age, we have more money for power cars, bikes, weapons travel, and pussy that we wanted when we were 20 but couldn't afford. but now we have money. and there are a shitload of us baby boomers. couple that with 40% of us (at least) are now divorced, and you have motive, location and opportunity. so the prices are going to go up, because $20 for me is an average cost per person at lunch on a cheap day, so why would i mind $50 for a 19 year old who promised to suck me off until my hair grows back.
as to walking out after you get to the room and returning to the front counter for a refund. do it. the chick is stunned, and the staff is worried about it being their fault. and it screws up the room count and book keeping, so everyone is aware it happened, and with who. in that situation, remind yourself you do have some control as the customer.
no reason to turn off your brain
I always tip from $10 to $40 and the gossip always goes around regarding the big spenders & the cheap a$$es who won't even buy a drink. Girls see it and pay special attention.
Toad has it right, but take it further. Everyone in zn who isn't a tourist is there to separate you from as much money as possible. Their primary tactic is intimidation. That's how the cops operate. The guy with the roses is trying to make you look cheap in front of the chicas if you don't buy. Pure intimidation. That's why the waiters come at you in waves. They know that gringos, especially the ignorant and the newbies, are easily made to feel like cheapskates. And if they feel that way they can be intimidated into spending more money. The drinks are overpriced, fichas ridiculously overpriced, the rooms are exorbitant for what you get, the chicas initial asking price inflated. Then you are hounded for teeps. There is never any reason to feel like you havn't spent enough money any place in zn. AB is probably the worst.
If you show you can be intimidated you won't be respected, and you're much more likely to have a good experience with a chica that has some respect for you than not. The girls that are interested in you because they think they can ficha fuck you, or think you're a big spender are the ones you want to avoid anyways.
Yes, zn offers something that can't be found in the US for almost any price, but that's no reason to turn off your brain, or allow yourself to be taken advantage of.
