Short trip: was in Vientiane for 2 night.

Came in on Thursday afternoon. Went to Vientiane plaza massage place around 5 pm. 7 girls available, chose Aw, very pretty girl in her early twenties. Look 9/10. Little English spoken. Chose cheapest package for 80 k kip, she asked 400 k for boom boom. Did BBBJ, and then several positions with condom.

Found her service very mechanical with too much fake moans.

There was another very pretty girl I wanted to try next day, but couldn't make it there.

Thursday night, didn't see any action around fountain area except one ladyboy, Bor Pen Yang was dead as well, probably due to rainy weather.

On Friday, tried a regular massage near Chou Anu Riad, masseuses a very pretty Lao girl offered hand job, starting price was 200 k but negotiated to 100 k.

Friday evening, saw the same ladyboy at the same place near the fountain. Also seen a motorbike girl, who was reasonably attractive. But I was quite drained after the HJ, had to catch an early morning flight, so didn't partake.

First of all, a big "thank you" to BoomBoom0,without whose invaluable information, I would never have been able to find this place.

His descriptions in post #162 and #165 are very accurate, and indeed very well describe the location and nature of this place.

I can confirm that action only takes place in the evening-I drove by this stretch of Sithong Road once during the day and all the places were completely deserted.

The whole area is clearly aimed at the locals, not tourists, and no one that I had interacted with spoke a lick of English. I also did not see any non-Lao people when I was in that area.

I had intentionally picked a hotel within walking distance of Sithong Rd, so after a 20 minute walk in the dark (which in no way felt unsafe, although pavements are lacking in Laos, so watch the traffic) I made my way to the designated area. I estimate that it is a mix of 60% Vietnamese brothels, and 40% Lao. It is fairly easy to tell them apart, as the Viet girls have fairer skin and are much more active at calling out to you as you walk by trying to wave you in (I guess when they see a single older white guy walking by at this time of the day, it is pretty obvious why he is there). The Lao girls are much more shy and the only person who would sometimes call out would be the mamasan.

The brothels are indeed mixed in on both sides of the road with regular business. In that area I would estimate there is a total of about 10 brothels, on average with 5-9 girls in each. The girls are usually sitting outside, so if you walk really slowly, you can check them out pretty well just by walking by (that is what I did). There is no need to it down and buy a drink.

Since I was in Laos, I wanted to go for a Lao girl, and one of them did catch my eye. Was just my type, although I would describe her as cute rather than a stunner (having said that, none of the girls in that area were the stunner type). I stopped, looked at the girl, then approached the mamasan (who funnily enough, was also manning the noodle soup stand). I pointed at the girl and gave her my phone to put in the price. She put in 150 000 kip, which per BoomBoom0's post is already on the lower end of the scale so I just nodded yes and gave her the cash. She kept 50 000 for herself and gave 100 000 to the girl.

She led me to a room in the back, into the most hardcore mongering experience of my career. It was just a room with concrete cider block walls and unfinished wooden floor covered by an aluminum roof. There were a few very thin, dirty futons on the floor. Having said that, the girl was very clean, with no funny smells. She insisted on full lights out for the sex, so visuals were limited. However, her body was fantastic, thin, firm with nice small perky boobs. BJ was not offered (which I think is the norm in Laos brothels), but she was affectionate in a shy kind of way, with lots of hugging and light kissing in the lips. Since it was dark, I did not attempt DATY, as I have a policy of not licking pussies that I cannot see first, so after some makeout time, we went to main event. She did provide her own condom, although in the end we went with one of mine. Overall, it was a good time and I ended up a happy man. Have finished my first trip in Laos. I have visited Luang prabang and Vientiane.

For the tourism part, I feel Laos in every aspect very similar as Thailand, the temples in Luang prabang are so beautiful and precious. But the feeling in Laos are very natural and simple. Not commercialized as in Bangkok or Chiang mai. Maybe still not a very popular tourism destination yet.

Mekong river is beautiful and remained its original appearance. The night market has obvious local feeling and unforgettable. Lao People very friendly.

But the price level in this country is far more high than I expected, especially in Vientiane.

The food, accommodations and the transportation are the same or more than Thailand. They don't have taxis, so Tuk tuk is the only choice. They start from 10000--20000 Kip depend the negotiation or luck. Food quality medium--low but price not. Hotels also. Not cheaper than Bangkok or HCMC. Compared with their economic level.

I tried Vientiane Plaza Massage. It seemed now the price are fixed and you have to pay all in front at the counter before you go with the lady.

530000 Kip one hour. Ladies from 4-9 I think. Really have some good young things. I came there 2 times and the last time the lady was pretty good. A solid 8. From HCMC, 21 YO, beautiful face and natural Boob, sexy ass. Nice and gentle massage, different positions. Name don't remember. Maybe was Lan.

I also tried the place which BoomBoom0 posted around Sithong Rd. Thanks so much for these invaluable information as SneraDog has said. This area was easy to find with such very accurate descriptions. There were several parlors, bars, small hotels you could find Laos girls or Viet girls. Yes, there are problems about age.

The Viet girls quality mediocre in my opinion, I came to a Beer Bar with Lao hostesses. First bar I stayed with a very cute, 20 YO Lao girl. She was very obedient and could not speak English so we talk with Google. We had 2 bottles of Lao beer and some snack, chatted 1 hour. I touched her but not too much. As for a surprise finally when I want to take her to my hotel she said she don't go out. So there were bars the girls only drink and play with you, but not do ST or LT. Tipped her 80000 Kip and the totally 160000 Kip include the beer and snack.

So I changed another bar and chose a 24 YO Lao hostess. She is pretty and cute. Sexy body. We also drink 2 bottles of Beerlao and chatted, played, a lot fun with her. She also fresh and shy. Feel so relaxed talking with her. Totally a newbie I think. Finally paid the Mamasan 400000 Kip for LT and 40000 Kip for beer. Good deal.

Also tried the Khong Kham KTV. Run by Chinese, I found a dude came with me and we selected 2 girls for companion. They were conservative but we had a lot fun for 5 hours. But finally we didn't take them out. Very expansive 900000 Kip for Long time and I believe the attitude or service will not be very good of my hostess. We paid 680000 Kip in all for rooms, beers and snack, fruits.

Finally, this trip is Ok, but not something outstanding. As for a first time trip. Maybe because of the ethnological differences, maybe due to the economic development level or make up or even surgery. I founded Lao girls less pretty or attractive than Thai girls. And also by regional standards low cost performance. But still a good place and may need more time to find the stunning one.

For example, you say they don't have taxis. There are MANY taxis in Vientiane, with meters, and I use them all the time when I am working there because I am wearing business clothes and like to have aircon travel when I go around to various work sites. There are numerous taxis that stand by on the corner near Lao Plaza hotel down towards Day Inn and Sabaidee at Lao Hotel. I had 2 phone numbers and just called them when I needed them.

Taxis are the easiest way to get from the airport. After arrival just go to the desk near the exit. It's a fixed price trip to the city proper (last time I was there it was $7 usd.).

Your experiences in Vientiane Plaza massage don't correlate with mine either.

Don't base your conclusions on one visit or even 2 visits like you did. It is quite variable there, with a huge turnover of girls. Just be prepared to go with the flow. When I stayed in Vientiane for 4 months recently I never saw the same girl at the MP twice, and virtually all girls are Viet too (at least, from my experiences).

Made a two day visit out of curiosity. I had the best intentions of getting to Sithong Rd. , especially with all the great directions, but I am a lazy monger from a near-arctic climate and it was hot as hell. So Ventiane Plaza Massage it was. Two visits, both decent. I've now moved Vietnam up several places in my "Must Monger" list.

Each visit was mid-afternoon which seemed to be a slow time: I was just assigned the one girl sitting in the office. Not sure if she was all that was available, though on the first visit there was clearly at least one other: see below. As it happened it wasn't a problem because each of the issued girls was at least an 8.

I didn't tell them to skip the massage so we went through all the motions. I got what were two probably decent massages (hard to tell as I really dislike massages), each with the towel carefully placed for my non-existent modesty. The biggest lineup I have seen was about 15. I probably had about 15-20 sessions here in the past many years, and none was considered unpleasant, all average or above to very good. This place is still the best bet for tourists. Vietnam girls provide a much better service than Lao girls in general and more fun and lively as well. Lao girls are mostly dead fish getting deader and deader in recent years. Nowadays it is quite hard to find a good looking Lao girl with good service and cheerful attitude. Things have changed a lot here.

I wish I could say I conquered Vientiane, but that's not how I played. I'll share my experiences anyway, in case someone else can build on it.

The first night I visited freelancer hangout BPY. There were some cute girls and some ugly girls, some of whom were no doubt FLs but perhaps not the majority. But most were with a guy or weren't attractive. As others have said, the girls mostly will just smile at you and let you do the hard work. I can see someone scoring here, but it's work and not a gimmee and you have to be bold.

I then asked a tuk tuk to take me to the brothels on Sithong. I negotiated down to 140 baht (paeng maak). He wanted 400 baht to stick around and take me back, but that felt awkward so I declined and sent him away. This was around 11:30 PM and I saw 5 or 6 open shops with girls visible. The best looking girl of the lot refused to make eye contact with me. Haha. She wasn't subtle, but actually I appreciated the clarity. So I moved on and found another girl, almost as cute and 18 why / o. There actually weren't as many cute ones as I was expecting. Despite speaking some Thai, the negotiation was more difficult than expected. But we figured it out. 800 baht up front, though I only had 1 k baht and paid that. We went to the shack in the back. I do mean shack. We lay down on the cheap floor mattress. No AC and not even a fan in every room. The shower room was just a water spigot. I started thinking the 1 k was too much. I got pretty hard when the clothes came off because she had a pretty tight body, with A cup breasts. Strangely, her face reminded me of high-school GF (even that she wasn't asian), which was a nice little fantasy. With good service, I'd be in love, but you probably won't get that out here. I forgot to mention in my last post that after I visited the farms on Sithong road, I had assumed I could get a tuk tuk back. I was wrong. That was a long, dark walk. Not too scary, though. Actually, I noticed a ton of nice looking houses with gates, and even mansions, in this area, which is funny.

I tried a massage shop on Chao Anou with women dressed in matching uniforms. That's usually a bad sign that you won't get any extras and that was in fact the case here, even after I repeated the next day. But the massage was quite good and reasonably priced (90 k or 360 Baht). I even asked for extras but was shot down. She doesn't go to the hotel room either. She did tip me off that the girls in the massage shop next door do such things. So that's exactly where I took my business next.

At this shop next door, they don't have uniforms. Good sign. They assigned me a girl, who was quite cute so I didn't complain. She suggested I shower, another good sign. But then she studiously avoided the private parts during the massage, a bad sign. I was pretty eager for release at this point, and was willing to overpay a bit, so I asked for the special massage. She didn't even respond, which I'd never seen before. I tried again, just on the. 1% chance she misunderstood. Shot down again. I might go back and try the other girls there. I found a report on the internet about this shop having potential.

I tried Samlor bar one night. Twice, actually. I popped my head in around 8 PM and it was dead. Around 10 or 11 it was busy and soccer was on. A group of three Laotians walked in the bar: a friendly gay guy, a cute drunk girl, and an older deaf lady. That sounds like the start to a joke, but I'm just telling it straight. They were super friendly and wanted to join me, and because of the cute one I let them. But it later became clear that the cute one had a boyfriend ("sort of" so I didn't stay long. They wanted to stick me with the bill, I imagine, but I just paid my part and a little extra, and left. I didn't see much other available talent there, by the way. The night before I saw a sexy thing arriving on a motorcycle, but I didn't see her again. I'm sure FLs hang out there occasionally (suspected I saw a few already attached to guys), but it's not like it's packed with them. There were far more men than women on this night.

I also tried BPY one more time, this time earlier (8 PM) and on the weekend. Around 9 PM, several suspected FLs (wearing sexy dresses, or jeans with midrift exposed) came in, mostly in groups of 2-3. I'd bet that FLs are by far in the minority here, though. I saw lots of guys come in with cute Lao girls, which was irritating. I know many guys have had luck here, but it's no Soi 7 Beergarden. Again, more men than women, challenging to tell FLs from mere partiers, they tend to act somewhat shy, they mostly expect you to approach them, and not many hot ones. I didn't see a lot of hooking up taking place on the premises, except for one guy approaching two girls that I suspected were LBs. On the bright side, the food is decent here (by Loas standards, not by Thai standards) and surprisingly reasonably priced.

I poked my head in Kop Chai Deu several times, but it looked dead. I think there might be an inside area with girls? I only saw the outside seating area.

I saw only a few FLs on the street, sitting on motorbikes. Most looked like LBs.

A few things I didn't try but read about here or elsewhere. KTVs seem too expensive for my blood, and not convenient. I wanted to try some apps, but I couldn't even sign up without a phone number. I couldn't even get those free SMS services to work. Dalah spa sounds promising, but it's very far from the fountain area and tuk tuks seemed expensive and difficult to negotiate down in price. La Ong Dao Hotel 1 and 2 are also a bit far and the reviews aren't so great any more. The massage places near Scandinavian bakery only had aunties so far as I could see. One taxi driver seemed to be saying he could call a girl for me. I wish I had taken him up on that.

My overall opinion of Vientiane is that it's better than almost all the spots in Europe or the USA (you can score here at a reasonable price), but I wouldn't rank it high within asia (not in the top 15 cities). I also wouldn't really recommend it for tourism. The food is not great compared to Thailand, and most things aren't as cheap as you might expect given the infrastructure. It's not especially easy to get around. I suppose I'd like it more if Thailand didn't exist, but it really suffers from the obvious comparison. I wanted to like this place, but didn't and probably won't return.

Then I found the goldmine where the provider not only offered relief but she immediately went for BBBJ. Pricey, yes, but expert service. So next month I will be tramping through Saigon and Cambodia and I am looking at going to Vientiane on the side but internet airfare appears to be around $240 from SGN and Phnom Penh. I met some French guys with their Lao girls by the pool and the girls told me that they were freelancers from Bor Ban Yang bar by the river and night market. Attractive girls in bikinis. They told me to go after 10 pm and to be aware of the many LBs. Another pick up spot is the Mekong hotel karaoke. Ladyboys on the street by the fountain.

Many authentic French and Italian restaurants with wonderful bread. I will return.
