Ricker, your impressions of Medellin are very persuasive. After my return trip to Cali in July, that could be next.
It sounds like there may be a few of us in Cali during the first week of July. As the time approachs we should develop some plans for a night on the town or party by the pool.

Great report Slick1! Glad to see you enjoyed your trip to Cali. I never had a chance to share with you some of my experiences from Cali when you were in BA. Here’s some tips and things I noticed on my trips (4 in total) to Cali. I don’t claim to be an expert on Colombian society, but offer up as my own observations and talking with other Colombian men. A lot of this stuff is geared towards chasing the amateur puss. Definitely send Ramon an email as he can hook you up with pro's and very hot normal chica's who want to meet Americans/Europeans.
For me, Cali is a little different than BA so I adapt my mongering approach. It’s a little harder to find the stunners in the clubs. They are there, but not in abundance like BA. Keeping this in mind and the sheer number of hot girls milling around the streets of Cali, I spent most of my time trying to hook up with the amateur ass. If I struck out with a non-pro earlier in the night, then I would head to a strip club or pull one off the street to bang. This contradicts our thinking when in BA where we head straight for the strip clubs. As with most cities, Cali get’s better the more often you go especially with the amateur scene. By my third trip, well over half the girls I banged were amateurs as opposed to 90% pros in BA and Lima.
The women of Cali are unlike any other in Colombia. Colombian dudes have told me, the Calena’s tend to give it up quicker then their counterparts from other cities. Reasons being the hot weather, seductive salsa dancing, and competition from other girls. But keep this in mind…Calena’s are extremely jealous. I know you hear this a lot in other South American Countries/Cities. In Cali, the stakes are much higher as the girls are so beautiful and plentiful. The women are very insecure about their looks since society places such a huge emphasis on beauty. Another factor is due to the men being nearly incapable of having a monogamous relationship (can you blame them).
If possible, try to take some Salsa lessons before heading on your next trip to Cali. Foreplay is the key to success with the BA chicks, but a little Salsa/Merengue from a gringo will win the hearts of a Calena. As I’m sure you found out, these girls can bang with the best of them, especially when they feel an attration to you.
On the club scene, most of the popular dance clubs in Cali play Salsa/Merengue music. These are not a good place to go looking to meet chicas as 95% come with men, their dance partner. However, take a hot girl on a date to one of the clubs…you will be noticed by the other chicas and funny things can happen. I had one girl come up to me at the mall, ChipeChape, saying she saw me at the club. Next thing I know, I’m taking her out to the club and breathing heavy with her later that night.
One thing I noticed about the girls, was how they carried themselves in public. Not only are they incredibly beautiful, but even how they walk and their facial expressions are seductive. If you get a chance to hang with Ramon, go to one of the local large supermarkets. Tons of single women working and shopping. One time, we cornered a hot chica shopping . We ended up getting her and her friends to party with us back at my hotel. Almost got laid, but ended up passing out since it was my last night. Another great place to go is to ChipeChape around 6:00 or 7:00pm. They have a couple of small coffee shops where many beautiful woman go to relax and chat. Again, strike up a conversation and get their numbers. These girls love to go out and party. When they start drinking, anything can happen.
I'm not sure when the TLC Worldwide party is being held (usually in either June or July), but this is a great opportunity to meet many hot hot Calena's. Like another dude posted, it's not smart to pay ($1,000US for 2 parties). Just hang out in the bar or lobby of the Inter-Continental to meet and greet. A couple of years ago, with the help of Ramon, I did just that as there were chicas everywhere. Before the end of my trip, I ended up banging 2 of the girls I'd met in the lobby who were at the party.
Lastly, I agree with you...the people in Colombia are amazing. They are very humble and always willing to help you if needed. I remember my first time in Cali. I met a kid on the plane who offered to give me a ride from the airport to save cab fare. His family treated me like a true friend and his uncle ended up showing me some of Cali's more popular attractions. Cali is one of the only cities where I don’t mind meeting the dudes who live there. It’s unbelievable how many women these guys know (they like pimps) and they will hook you up. I met the manager of a small club that Ramon frequents. He had a chica on both arms (his lay's for the night) and I was by myself. He and I really hit it off. By the end of the night, he offered his girls to me. Ramon and I took them back to my hotel (for a nominal fee) and banged both of them. Some of the best sex I’ve ever had.

Glad to hear from you. I wish I could have picked your brain about Cali while in Buenos Aires but at that time I never knew that is where I would end up over the Memorial day weekend. Wish I could have met Ramon the first trip but I only recieved the contact info on my last night there and plans were already made. I will shoot him off an email about my upcoming trip over the July 4th weekend. I have had quite a bit of telephone contact from the girl in Cali I spent a lot of time with the last time. She knows I am coming back and hopefully I can avoid that infamous Calena jealousy that you speak of. Don't want to hurt her either as she really is very sweet.
I also may take you up on your suggestion about the salsa lessons. Its obvious that the ability to mix it up on the dance floor goes along way with these girls.
Actually the TLC gathering ends on the day I arrive back in Cali. Maybe I'll give my taxi driver buddy a call to tell him to scope out some of the hottest ones and get their numbers. Since he is one of the approved drivers at the Intercontinental and spends much of his time waiting at the entrance, he should be able to take names.

Yep, that's Ramon all right. He's a good guy although I haven't utilized him since my first trip. I'm pretty comfortable in Cali at this point but I might give him a call next time just to say hi.

Concerning dance lessons- Unless you are naturally a good dancer and pick up steps quickly, I would suggest you take meringue lessons first since it is much easier to learn IMHO while for most gringos, salsa is more difficult. As long as you can do the basic steps of meringue, you're set. Just make sure you tell your chica you would like to go to a disco where they play at least some meringue as opposed to a salsa disco where they only play the latter.

I am always interested to meet people from the North that escaped the gravity of the US (mostly people that come to Colombia are lone thinkers that do not much mind what other think, which I am one of those, and that is normally a magnificient match).

Just a quick note related to visiting Cali. When you pick a date for your trip, stay away from any 3 day weekend in Cali. There are more of those in Colombia than anywhere I've been, so do your homeworks and make sure that weekends are 2 days. People in Colombia work normally 6 days a week, so having those 3 days weekends is a necessity to cool down the human machine. At first, I used to think that it was a sign of a lazy society, but I get it now that it is because of the nature of things down here. So, when one of those weekends come by, Cali is completely deserted and a sad place to be. It is a sad story when I hear about someone that only came in here for a 3 day weekend (when Colombians don't work on a Friday and Monday), and the city is plain dead! I'll try to get the dates of such weekends so that it shall help people planing to come here.

I remenber when I was in cali once my exgirlfriend cousin took me to this disco, they call it a "VIEJOTECA" its kind of like salsa disco but they play old classic salsa, I was amazed to see so many single non-pros sitting in large group just wanting to be ask to dance, I guess you really have to be a local to know were to hit this spots. if I'm not mistaken its in a area called la floresta vieja.
Also guys I went on a picnic trip with my then ex and her family to the outskirts of cali, if I'm not mistaken its called pance its nice but what really impress me was the amount of caleñas in g-string oh my it was unreal, one thing that you most know its that during the colombian summer they take alot of paseos, "field trips" to the rivers and so on, especially pance if you really want to go and pick up some non-pro caleña thats a good possibility, my ex's dad pick up this hot caleña took her up the river and fuck her, thats cali anytime anywhere. Well guys i'm moving to panama within the next two weeks if everything goes well I will see you in cali for the beginning of july.

A word of caution about picking up non-pros at night clubs . Let me start by saying that a good friend of mine is one of the most prominent plastic surgeons in Colombia , he works on all of the top models actresses and singers in Colombia and he informs me that large percentage of the pretty women in Col. have some type of cosmetic surgery done to them and that it is usually paid for by their boy friends which more often then not turns out to be a drug trafficker sine they are the only younger guys in Col. with any kind of money. I have met several of these guys threw my doctor friend and let me tell you this they are not to be messed with. In Col. The woman can be jealous , but the men are infamous for being jealous and crazy when it comes to their women. I have herd stories of men being shot in and outside of bars because they were to aggressive with some ones
girl. The first question I ask a chica when approaching her at a bar is if she has a boyfriend ? If her answer is yes I smile and walk away. Don’t worry if you look hard enough their will always be a pretty chica that has no boyfriend and is dieing to meet a gringo. P.S.
