Hello,
If you are hunting, I suggest that you try some 'salons de thés'. I suggest to go to Terrasse wich is located in Sidi Yayia (kind of champs élysées of Algiers, but not that much). You will have Société Générale close to it.
There I met some nice and not expensive ladys. Be nice and you will rewarded.
Don't forget to keep us informed!

Hello to all,
I am planning my next trip. Can someone gives us the latest news?
Many thanks,
Justme
I agree. The Cappacino is another good choice. Go inside to the 2nd or 3rd floor. The girls can't smoke if they outside. It can be hit or miss. Many times, you'll find the places just full of men.
There are some hotels in Palm Beach that you can take a girl to without breaking the bank. If you have your own apartment, so much the better.
I generally avoid the Sheraton -- too expensive.

Hello to all,
I concur with floridaperv. Capuccino, near terrasse, is also a good place to hunt.
Hit and miss, but more hits (for me at least).
Don't forget another place nearby, Kheima.
Good luck to all!

Hi there guys,
as i'm supposed to be sent back to Algeria within march (after a long time), i'd like to know, if there are any new venues or news in general that i should know?
Advises and hints are highly appreciated!
Thanks guys and take care out there!
Jimmy
During the day you can go to the salon de thes in Sidi Ihia (downtown down Hydra opposite the Mango shop roundabout).
I have been to La plaza and in the restaurant Autre-part. Good crowd and if you are good you get to meet up with some normal girls
After 10pm it's time to go out if you couldn't make it in the salon de thes. In Palm bach you have several hotels with cabaret-restaurant and discos where you can pickup girls and go to the hotel.
Warning: lots of girls have been banned from Mercure hotel due to too frequent visits so don't try your luck too much.
The local hotels in palmbeach charge around 8000 dinar per room(80€). Girls prices vary from 6000 to.
Good luck!
Thanks mate for updating information.
The "Mercue Girls" had a price policy that i didn't follow up.
Last call last year was 200 EUR for 1 shot (not even per hour!), which is hell too much for a country like Algeria.
Will try my luck next time with freelancers when work allows me to go out "alone"...
Will keep you informed about what's going on!
Take care and have fun!

Hi guys,
was recently in Algiers and couldn't find any WG at the hotel M's bar.
It seems, that LE has cleared out completetly the scene or that they forced the hotel management to do so.
Unfortunately, didn't have the time to check out one of the "salon du thé" at Hydra quarter.
According to a local friend, the scene has gone extremely down and WG only can be found on "advise" - so nothing for a quick snap at the hotel.
For me, Algeria has become absolutely desinteresting for mongering action:
you need to spend lots of time by collecting contacts of freebies and this time i don't have and i also don't want to waste time on this.
i'd better go to german FKK's or visit places where you can be sure not having to stay all week long alone in the hotel room...
So guys, any recommandations are welcome, unfortunately also my former contact numbers don't work any more - bad luck for me!
Have fun, take care and cheers!

Gents,
Passed by Algiers a few weeks back and can report the following:
*S is still expensive and not worth the time nor money
*No visitors still enforced at most hotels
*The terrace is still open and attracts nice looking girls
*Get an apartment to avoid hassle
*Ask a taxi driver for best advice (and phone numbers!)
Despite not being able to say more than a few words in French I managed to find good times! (Asked the taxi driver for a "Girl for fun" and was dropped at the local theater!!!)
Blue Yellow
PS: Jimmy, please let me know next time you are going

@ Blue Yellow:
just came back from Algiers one week ago and will not go there any more this year most probably.
Hardly had time to checkt out what's goin on, but as far as i found out, the hotel scene is more or less dead.
Hotel M, the new hotel I and the old hotel H (ex International) are not even worth a visit
My opinion: forget Algeria for mongering, besides you have enough time to invest in collecting phone numbers and inviting the ladies for a nice dinner.
If any one of you should be willing to share contacts, please PM me (unfortunately i don't have any working contacts there at the moment!)
Take care and have fun!

Hi guys and fellow mongers,
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a sucessfull, healthy and Happy New Year 2011.
May be we can re-animate this forum next year with good field reports and recommandations!
Cheers.

Same problem, too expensive, and prefer to use Algiers as a rest stop, between real destinations.
