Will keep this short-ish, as I have a girl arriving at my hotel room any minute.
On my first night here, I went to a few of the clubs, but no luck for freebies - very quiet in the clubs. PS - When I get time, I'll post a report about the rip-offs to avoid in Amman. Many of them have been mentioned here before by guys who have been bitten by the scams (especially bar scams). I nearly got trapped myself, but thanks to this forum, I managed to avoid being ripped off. eg someone wrote about Ahmed the 'friendly' barman in Rouge Club. He is friendly, to be sure, but I was ready for his bullshit, and he was stunned. My 20 JD drink became an 8 JD drink when I set him straight (still expensive, but worth it for the look on his face. ;))

He's married but curious, so he agreed. It was just before sundown, as recommended by a previous poster, but there were no girls on the street. Maybe a quiet night. Besides, it's very cold outside!
