First time DIA/Philippines

Being a long time lurker and first time poster, I would like to post my experiences in DIA.
On my first trip to Philippines and after dutifully reading as much as possible from the threads, I followed your advice and opened an account in DIA. Just showing up was enough to get lots of messages (all ages, lots of countries, a fair share of ladyboys) that required a bit of filtering. I also mailed a few of the cuties and among them appeared what seemed to be a truly unpolished gem from Mindanao, 20 years old and university student. I am under 35 so I was happy with the age difference.
What follows now is a story of a not too elaborated scam but one certainly well paced and smoothly performed.
Long smart talk ensued, nice stories, that came from a seemingly open minded person. I performed most of the checks proposed in the forums, ym followup, cam, other boyfriends or not, own laptop, tuition and boarding house payed by family, double checking background and education, traveling abroad. All passed with marks.
After two weeks, we had agreed on meeting for a week of island hopping. She insisted on booking two rooms, something that should have rung a bell but actually was arousing for me as it implied a sense of modesty. I must say I was starting to fall for her.
During our chats an issue seemed to surface, she had some problems getting the university transcript. Apparently something was wrong with her birth certificate. She was solving it but it was an annoying bureaucratic hurdle.
A week later she said that she could not come on the agreed date but one day later as she was solving those legal issues with the city hall and the university.
After one more week of sweet talks of beautiful nights by the sea, she said she could not meet me as the legal issue was stuck and she needed to be there. The lawyer she had contracted was far too expensive. She said she could not see me and that she had to give back the laptop, her family had payed a lot already.
Her future was at stake and she had to do it. Obvious question: how much is the lawyer? Straightforward answer 25.000 PHP.
I thank the board for the enlightment. I had been scamed for 4 weeks.
To be honest I am quite pragmatic. 3 nights at Marriott in Hong Kong is more or less the same, and out of 35 days in HKG and Philippines is not a big deal. On the other hand I don't care about what kind of bullshit they tell me in order to save face. I don't care what appears on the "bill", water buffalo, cousin on hospital. If is easier for the girls to lie than a straightforward sex deal then let it be. I don't care if she is a student or not as long as I believe it.
What made me angry is that no goods were going to be provided and that I had been treated as a sucker for so long. I could pay a girl's holiday and had no sex with her, I could pay a "water buffalo" and have a beautiful night. Something I cannot accept is what this girl (or whatever she is) was doing to me.
Don't be too rought with me I am still in the "could it be true" phase.
For all the other not so hard skinned board members: plan A, plan B, plan C. F3, and never give any money before you get there. Remember that they could pass all the tests as they also know about them.
I am not letting her know I am aware of her dealings. As some people on the board have suggested the less they know about us discovering their tricks the less they will improve their tactics.

Anyone else experience this?
I was on FH yesterday and messaged a girl on there who looked super hot and cute. I sent her my yahoo ID, and I was added to her list about 30 minutes later. We then start chatting, and she asks to cam with me, and I agree.
Well, what the fuck? The chick was not the one in the photos at all, not even closely resembling her, and was probably a good 50 lbs (about 22 kg) overweight. I chatted with her for about three minutes and blocked her.
What the hell do these girls think they're doing? Totally retarded and.. eww, this one was so disgusting. Ugh, I almost vomited.
