Actually Jeff, there are a few others besides Juan. But I will agree with you, I also rented from Juan and from Mery. I also did not have any problems with Juan. The only drawback with Juan, was that he changes rates during seasons, eg: he gets top dollar during Miss Colombia etc, which is basic supply and demand, and I have no beef at all, where as Mery always charged me the same rate, regardless of season. Mery's rates were just about identical to Juan's regular rates, but Juan has Marinare # 802, which is one the best units. I do like # 703 in playa mar, which I believe at this time, until verified is still being rented by Mery.
Again Jeff, you are right there was an incident between Mery and ******, whom had several units that Mery was managing for him. Tom 33, has the best answer to all of this backing and fourthing. It is done with, and leave Mery alone, it is what it is and business relationships are like Virgins and Roses, They last while they last.................

I find it amazing and amusing that no one is really giving out any facts about what is going on with Mery. The only real fact I have seen posted is that she has lost many of the units that she was managing.
I will speculate a bit. Lets pretend I am a gringo who bought an apartment unit in Cartagena. I will use it for 4 weeks a year and rent it out for the other 48 weeks. I have Mery manage it for me. A year passes and I find that Mery has only managed to rent it out for 20 weeks. Since the unit that I bought is the best in Cartagena, I decide that something is wrong. I know what is going on!!!!! Mery is renting out my unit and keeping all the money. She is telling me that it is empty. She is stealing my rental money..
Well maybe.
Or maybe the demand for rental units is a lot less then the supply of units most of the time.
Now the Jeffs :-) sound like an owner of units that Mery was managing. At least to me. Years ago my family had a beach house in NC that we rented out for a summer with a realtor. The people in the house next door were personal friends. The realtor rented out the place a few times, told us that it had not been rented and kept the money. I know that I was mad as hell about that.
I know someone that owns units that Mery managed for him. So sometime I will ask him what is going on. But sometimes it is just fun to guess what is going on and then find out later how good your guesses really were

Please try to get your facts straight before you post things that are unsubstantiated. You speculate as to what might happen when you show up this coming February and also state many things as fact that simply are untrue.
I have two apartments that Mery rents for me and I will soon be updating the website with all new apartments that she will have available, including 4 units in the new Mirador del Laguito building. Two of these units are completed and furnished for rental, the other two are in the final stages and will be available soon.
