It must have been a year or so or maybe more I did not to go Cambodia (and actually at the time I did not even consume anything on St. 154, just took a look). If it now happens on St. 154 too then it must be a new development. which is worrying because the places in St. 154 are a stone throw from the places on St. 51 where most of the monger activities take place. They must be getting very desperate and it may be an early sign that these places will close, which, if that happens, is not going to improve the already lower attractiveness of PP for mongers.

I'm not sure it's a sign those places will close: the ones on 63 have stayed open since forever, and no sign they're shutting. One closes, another pops up, that's how it usually is. I'd say its more a sign that those places are turning to crap. Maybe it's only one of those places doing this. So maybe there's still hope for you in whichever one you like. I can't see how it'd spread to Walkabout or HOD since the girls in those places are a whole other scene, and after all it's the management of the massage places doing it.

But I'm perfectly happy checking out the other venues. These cheapo massage places aren't an option on my list anymore. There's still plenty out there to be had. I always go to Martini's my first night in town, which is still the best one-stop reasonably priced place I know, always plenty of available girls to choose from, and I also try to research and find out which of the karaoke type places are good before I go -- once I came to the one above Casa disco (can't remember the hotel name -- just north of Wat Phnom) and walked in on a big lounge room packed with about 100 Vietnamese girls, some quite nice. All available for immediate takeout. The place is more of a for-Asians scene (Chinese, Singapore, rich Khmer, etc), but they're perfectly happy to accept white man's dollars (or black or brown man's, I imagine). No games. Anyway, there's always other options -- ones like these or others.

Because the places on St. 154 mostly cater to foreigners, unlike the places on St. 63. If they try running this shit on foreigners, their main clientele, it's not the same as running it to the occasional foreigner visiting St. 63. That's why I find this more worrying and a possible sign that they are getting desperate and near the end - or alternatively that the two reports were only occasional and localized instances.

Back when I was in Cambodia the first time, the worry was that you would get hold up at gun point by people on motorbike in the street, a very frequent occurrence. Nowadays it's only that you'll lose a few dollars through tricks. I guess you could call this an "improvement". Yet, I would go back in time in an instant if that was possible. Things are relatively boring nowadays, monger-wise, and is getting increasingly boring as time passes. Pretty soon it won't be worth traveling at all to have good sex.

I had the unfortunate honor to be the first one to report on this board the end of fun at Sophie's. One day the girls would fight to give me a sample of their sucking and blowing talent, the next day the same girls would just chat and do nothing because of threats from the police and religious fanatics. Chatting with a girl in bad English I can do anywhere in the world too...

It's true that it won't spread to Walkabout and other such venues but these are nothing really special anymore and you can find them in so many other countries. We are just getting slowly accustomed to the erosion of our liberties and don't realize that everything becomes just completely asseptized.

There is basically no difference between the places on St. 154 and St. 63, or the similar the places in Tuol Kok, for that matter. All cater primarily to locals (I'd say the ratio of Cambodians to foreigners at Sony is about 10-1), all will try to rip you off, and all charge $5 unless there has been a recent change. The last place of this type I went was Sony, and that is what I paid. The key was that at no time did I ask the price--I handed the guy $5, and when he said the price was now $10, I said "Sorry, I did not know the price had gone up.", took my money, and started to walk out. I did not get 2 steps. In hindsight, I wish I had. The session was lousy, and I had to constantly fight the girl to safeguard my pants. I only went to places of this type a couple of times during the Km11 era, but I agree with MikeSaw that the performance then was better, although not great. Had I been a regular customer as he was, I have no doubt that would have changed. I am not so sure it would matter now. Maybe in some of the smaller places on St. 63, it would.

Just realized that I forgot to mention one very important fact in my recent update: Walkabout no longer has short time rooms! The new manager indicated this was not by their choice, but did not give any additional details. He suggested using one at a guesthouse nearby, but since I was not really that interested in the girl, I did not bother. This place seems to be going downhill since Cleve was fired, and the remodeled Chip Lay hotel next door that was scheduled to reopen in April does not look as if it will be ready any time soon. It appeared pretty gutted a week ago.

Bang - another strike by the religious fanatics brigade. Cambodia has loads of tourists, no need for the mongers clientele anymore and it gives them a "bad" reputation anyway. The question is only: "what will come next"?

I had about $10 =(few$ extra in pocket for moto fare),
had to pay upfront so $5 left in pocket when I got to room. Closed and put chair on the door.
They somehow got to my pant pocket ?(even though I never saw the door open)
they got the $5 +my cigs+lighter + several extra condoms.

They probably had a way to get through the wall - I had this happen to me... thought I was safe with my pants near my head on the bed, but they still got to them. Had to be a gap in the wall (e.g., a seam that was weak enough to push apart and put your hand through).

You guys are killing me with curiosity now! In my several trips to PP, I never ventured into places on 154 or 63rd street--Martini, HoD, other bars were plenty before I ran out of energy. Now I have to visit 154/63rd st just to find out how the money, cigs, lighter, etc disappear. Forget the sex, I want to learn the magic.

Suggest you keep your money in your socks and inside your shoes next to you.
But in my opinion you need to go only if you are looking for adventure. Mongering here would be no pleasure if you ask me.

Haven't heard from you in a bit.
I'm trying to remember all the details and I am fairly sure there was nothing in the room except 2 chairs and the bed. I also remember looking under the bed just in case some bastard was hiding there. I also remember this place had the bathroom/shower room upstairs.

If you forget the sex, then no reason to visit here as there is nothing to offer except a very lame and cheap attempt at giving you sex as most of the providers are thinking moe about stealing from you rather than blowing you= the sex is not that good anyway. And yes, the magic is that your money will disappear one way or another.
