Now only the vaccine can save us,
Many developed countries (other than the United States) are handling the pandemic well. Other countries have better leaders.
and the vaccine is supposed to be ready even this year.
That's sooner than the most optimistic experts that I have heard. Less than 5 months away? Says who?
But I believe that good and normal times will be back in a few months.
I believe there will be no vaccine available for the rest of 2020.
I believe the United States covid cumulative death toll on election day (November 3rd, 2020) will be between 200,000 and 250,000 as we head back up to over 2,000 daily death soon (like we had in April and early May).

Heyo Robert. I am thinking into more the same way. Joe Rogan mentioned a doctor who indicated some of the characteristics of the virus is man made but I need to research a bit more.
Is this backlash against Tictoc related to the US knowing possibly it was man made as well? Can't imaging anything TicToc app is doing is anything worse than what Facebook or other apps know about us but the Gov is going a bit aggressive. I am ignorant of most of this stuff but just thinking hypothetically?
I do not believe that one transaction where a customer bought a bat at a market in Wuhan China caused a planetary epidemic! China seems to have released this covid 19 virus from the Wuhan lab by accident or on purpose. Now only the vaccine can save us, and the vaccine is supposed to be ready even this year. But overall the Chinese communist party sucks! And the communists made this 2020 fatal and depressive year for the whole planet. But I believe that good and normal times will be back in a few months.
Rosarito
Fellow members.
Years ago I used to go to Tijuana. Never been to Rosarito. I have an invite from an expat living in Rosarito. I will probably get a room in a Rosarito Hotel for a few days.
My question is how, what and where are the girls around Rosarito? Cost?
Thanks for your help in this.
I went to see Tijuana apartments with a friend today. Near the beach. If you are a sit at home type, and work from home, don't need to see family or friends often, las playas is a 6 dollar uber to the border and she got a 1 bedroom for 300. It would be like living in ocean beach San Diego for 2300. Something to consider.
What sites do you search on? I would like a place in Playas or Rosarito. 300/ mo for 1 bed would be an no brainer.

But I believe that good and normal times will be back in a few months.
It didn't come from some guy in Wuhan buying a bat. In fact, I don't think bats were even available in the Wuhan wet market.
The ChiComs love to eat exotic animals. That means animals that are not indigenous to the area. In CA, for instance. Alligator would be an exotic animal, although in Florida not so much. We already know that SARS has its genesis in bats. Covid is a "novel" strain of SARS.
Exotic animal "distributors" in China beat the bushes and capture animals. They then pack them into tight, unhealthy, cages and so forth, and then sell them to other areas of China. Unfortunately this puts species which would normally never encounter one another into very close proximity. The most likely scenario was the bats gave the virus to the pangolin. Pangolins were available in Wuhan, and were, so I'm told, very popular to eat. The most likely scenario is that infected pangolins, packed into a filthy wet market environment with people, gave the humans the virus. Or, an undercooked pangolin was consumed by somebody in Wuhan. BTW, this is the accepted cause for AIDS. A person in the Congo eating an undercooked, infected chimpanzee / ape / gorilla.
The Smithsonian magazine even published an article back during SARS discussing the wet market "petri dish" and predicting that the next pandemic would come from one.

Oh, and good luck finding anyplace you'd actually want to live in Playas for $300. Double that and you'll be closer to reality, at least for something small. Budget $1,000 and you can probably get something decent.

I spent 5 hours walking playas with the apartments being shown to me from a friend who looked at 100 of them due to her free time and interest in it I guess. And the apartment she rented was 300. Don't believe the posters on here that, flip out when I write info that upsets them. Some posters are either senile or like teenagers. Everybody who has info they didn't know about is a lying lunatic. A lot of them only know Tijuana from craigslist and utube and azule patio view. Now with that being said, would it be safe? Nobody looked at me funny. She pointed out the gringo apartments who were generally surfers. It's not San Diego. You can't go outside jogging half naked like San Diego. But many people don't want to be outside much anyway. And you have stores and the beach. And we had a dinner right on the ocean that cost me 18 dollars for two people. The waves are better than Pacific beach sd, about the same as ocean beach.

First time, long time. After months of not returning to Tijuana, I finally built up the courage to go for a short trip. I live in the SD area, drove to the border and parked in a paid lot per usual. I went during the week, but traffic wasn't bad and plenty of parking. Walked across, line was short to get in. They asked how long I'll be visiting, usual stuff. Uber driver's over there all wear masks and seem to be following guidelines. Didn't go to the ZN, just downtown. Most restaurants were open with outdoor seating and social distancing. Not much different other than bars being closed. Crossing back was just as easy. No line, asked what my nature of my visit; said Dentist appointment. They let me go right ahead. If anyone's having any doubts about the logistics of visiting Tijuana, it seems like its business as usual, at least when crossing on foot.
P.S. Exchange rate is pretty good, its a shade over 20:1.
Just drove through the Zona 20 minutes ago. The SG's were shoulder-to-shoulder at LG corner. Rizo had their door open.
Not sure why but the LG corner is the busiest area right now. This past weekend was just unusual.
Rizo's doors were open. But there's no party. Two guys at the door making sure you had a room or reservation. Same with Cascadas front door. Jalos now has some barkers where the Chicago barkers normally stand. They said they had girls up there but I did not verify.

Many come from far away areas in mexico to work in Tijuana because this is where the $ is.
Just my suspicion but I think the SGs are actually doing better than normal right now. That's all relative. But after spending a good amount of time in the zona, I believe business is booming for them. There were a ton of guys shopping the streets. More than I've ever seen. I attribute it to the bars being closed. But at various times throughout the days, I would see alternatively a ton of girls and then a below average number. Undoubtedly, those ST hotels were doing good business as well.
Just feels like, as crazy as it sounds, the demand side is fairly high. I'd also add prices have not plummeted. I would have assumed, with the added supply, prices drop. But I don't think that's occurred.

Best you can hope for is a roach-infested 300 sq ft studio. Maybe you can find a decent place for $300 further inland, like Mirador or Lazaro Cardenas. Anything decent within 10 min walk to the beach is going to cost at least $600, but probably closer to $700-$800. Kind of funny how you go off on posters being lying lunatics. I just stone-cold busted you lying about knowing multiple seniors being forced to sell their homes and turn over the proceeds in a week. Which is impossible as well. So if you want to go off on posters being liars, well it would suit you well to quit lying yourself.

Business seems to be about the same for the SG's from what I have seen lately.
