That is Front Desk personnel job, and it avoids false information. You would have to be lucky to ask Front Desk to hand over card and fill it in for him / her. That would be an exception, not the rule. We are talking 'in general' , 'general practice' here, not exceptions. I have got that exception (filling in card for myself) at one important hotel. But at another favorite hotel in a different province they want the passport, will not hand over check in card.

"Mostly correct, but they are great paper collectors, and if a chick came to hotel with police / lawyer whatever, chances are the hotel would hand over the filed away check-in card for lawyer / police to read. They keep the records cause something might surface after tenant has left.

The hotels who do not ask for ID, are very much the exception. Mostly short time hotels.

I have got one hotel trained to let me fill in the card (with false information, LOL). Another equally important hotel to me, in another province, does not allow tenant anywhere near the check-in card, always takes yet another copy of my passport. Well trained and. Lucky I do not do anything naughty when staying at 2nd hotel, LOL.

Next time I will try: "Fuck ya, given you the info twenty times before" , LOL.

If the hotel less than 3 star (Agoda / Booking ranking), they don't bother pp copy or any thing. Just ask the payment. It happens hotels in Thailand, or Philippine or China. It is an obvious norm to keep copy evidence of visitor's either PP or ID. But underclass hotels just don't bother.

In China or Vietnam many hotels will not accept foreigners if they are not approved by the respective authority for such kind of hospitality.

Yes, I have been told by Front Desk in Philippines too, that it is the law to keep the passport info (which incl's visa) and must be shown if they have a visit from a government official, which would include the Police, I should think. Phils keeps passport / visa info as part of their records.

Fortunately my number 1 hotel in Phils does not have a photo copy machine, LOL.

Its same as in Hong Kong, just a normal practice, byut not a law. If someone tells you its a law, ask them to show you exactly which law. Theres no such law in Philippines. A hotel though does have the right to see ID for various purposes, including in the deadly event of a fire or other life threatening situation they might just to know the names of the people residing in that building.

Been a while away from the philippines. By 2016, I plan to visit Manila and this time wish to spend most of my monger time in Angeles. Want to go wild this coming trip, have been trying to surf around the Angeles city forum and gather more info.

May be some veteran over here can also give your precious guidelines too, which is a plus for me to avoid some ripping places.

I wish to take the best sexperience in this trip starting from a nice location hotels and may be find some gems from the bars or non pro by then. Perhpas may be end up with couple of nice babes joining me during the duration of my stay. Is this advisable? Or changing everyday. Perhaps?

My second visit to AC at the end of August and beginning of September this year was a very different experience from my maiden voyage in January. According to article VI, section B, it is illegal to be in the company of a person below 13 yo OR a person who is at least 10 years younger than you (except when said person is related to you).

If this law is really enforced then it means that almost all of us could be in trouble when we pick up girls in the Phils.
