In order to try to eliminate child sex trafficking now the universal standard is 18 years old and above. Even here in USA age of consent varies state to state. Irrespective of what the state says Federal rules state 18.

Generally in many countries locals can do whatever they want but for foreigners it is 18 . More and more countries are getting very strict. Another thing every one should be concerned about is pimping. Pimping is illegal in almost all countries and this does include your trusted GF bringing another girl consent or not. So you don't even need to have sex to get a conviction.

I was aware of the age of consent, which I would not breach under any condition, but I did not know that just in presence of someone younger than 18, I may be committing an offence. What if my 19 year old friend would bring her two year old son to visit my hotel room? Would that be considered an offence?

A close relative of the girl is ok. But if you have 10-17 yo daughter or sister of GF in the room it could look a little dodgy. It may be legal but can be exploit for someone's gain. Most members concerns are not necessarily the law but being in a blackmail able situation. And your blackmailer might not be the girl but someone else that noticed the situation and sees the opportunity to call their local police person or police impersonator for a jackpot.

This second law is where the confusion comes in, the main word to take careful note of is the word OR in or who is 10 years, it clearly is saying it is an offence to be with someone under 12 and by inclusion of the word or also an offence to be in the company of someone who is 10 years his junior regardless of age, I know this is totally crazy how this law reads but its there should anyone want to use it to their advantage.

I just can't understand anyone wanting to take the risk of having anyone under the legal age in his hotel room, just don't do it, there is absolutely no reason to do it, ever.

Want to meet your girlfriends kids, her relatives then meet them in a public place, a mall, a public park etc.

Never ever agree to be left alone with a minor how ever innocent you think it is, it could cost you at best large cash, at worst prison.

The crazy part is says in any public or private place. So if I'm walking down the sidewalk and a street kid come up to me and follows me to sell flowers / gum, etc. It sounds like technically that would be illegal as well. I can't imagine anyone is getting prosecuted or blackmailed for the public part.

Republic Act No. 7610 Is An Act Providing For Stronger Deterrence And Special Protection Against Child Abuse, Exploitation And Discrimination, And For Other Purposes. This legislation relates to child abuse and you should bear that in mind when trying to interpret it. If you had any legal training you would understand. Thus S2 (b) should be taken in context of children and not adults. My original post stands, namely, as long as the girl you are with is over the age of 18 then no offence is committed. The monger's female companion invites a minor to meet them in the hotel room or other residence. The female companion excuses herself for a minute and friendly policemen burst into the room to put the naive monger under arrest. He is then offered the opportunity to ransom himself for a king's ransom. Read back deep into the AC thread for such reports.

This does not change the fact that the law says a few simple words.

It does not give any explanation as to what ages it refers to, just that a gap of 10 years or more is an offence, so while it reads as it does then buyer be aware.

1. I'm very good at the art of the p/u in a place where it's pay 4 play. When you know you'll get laid, your game can go up 4x for best girl at best price. So, I did great with LA cafe when in Manila even though most say it sucks now (I was doing this early 2015). How much better is AC for freelance at a place like LA Cafe if you want girls that are 8 on looks? In LA cafe, 2005, it takes a lot of work to pull an 8 for < P3000. But that's game, and FUN game for me. How about an 8 for P3000- P4000 in AC? Maybe more like a 9 for that price, or maybe an 8 for P3000 no problem?

2. I work remotely when traveling (from laptop), but need 1/2 decent Internet for working. If staying at good hotel, is it OK? Is Skype fairly reliable if I pay good money somewhere for a good connection?

3. What is the current thinking about bar girl prices in the clubs in AC vs. Manila or Cebu? I found all the bar girls in Manila way too expensive for prices I'd experienced in Cebu. 7 years ago I could bone a 9 in Cebu for USD 30. For USD 100 at Arena and the premium bars/bar-girls clubs, many 9's for the taking w/ very little "work" (again, that is "work" I enjoy at the bars and am willing to put in the extra time). I know that doesn't happen now, but also think for a 8-9 in Makati or Manila it's at least 100 USD? True?

I think this 'who' refers to minor.

So I think this means you have to read it like this:
'Any person who shall keep or have in his company a minor, twelve (12) years or under, OR a minor who is ten (10) years or more his junior....'

And a minor is defined as a person below 18 yo. So I think Python75 has got it right.
