Jakarta - Hotels

And it is girl friendly. However, unless you are working in the Simatupang area, I would not stay there. That is so far out that I hardly even consider that area to be Jakarta. To go from there to anywhere with entertainment would be a nightmare.

Yes, I knew that bar had hot women back in the day. But I have to admit that I have never been there. It had already lost popularity by the time I arrived in the late 90s.

I"ll be travelling to Jakarta in Feb. And booked a room in Pullman Jakarta. Are the entertainment outlets and restaurants are closeby? What would you suggest during daytime like any conducted tours around Jakarta?

I will be visiting Jakarta for 5 days and will be staying at Hotel Mercure Chikini. It the hotel girl friendly and also let me know the pick up bars and massages with extras near by.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]Yes it is. Hotel Mercure Cikini is in a nice location. Very central. Good restaurants close by. Lara Djongrang, Tugu kunstkring paleis. Hobby wise, it is next to Hotel Menteng 2, in walking distance. Used to be a happening place for bar pick-ups. Low grade though, but not so sure how it is nowadays, much has changed in recent years.

I liked Hotmen in the noughties. Low grade but nice. Arab mixes.

Thinking of booking Harris Suites fx Sudirman for 3 - 4 weeks in August. Anyone have experience with the place recently? Decent hotel / apartments? Girls in the area? Any problems with location? Never been in Jakarta. I read prior posts but seek fresh eyes and ears. Thanks. PM if you prefer.

The Fx and lots of malls within walking distance have great eating options. They also offer staff that may be keen to give you some after work fun. All are reasonably high end malls so dress well and act properly if you want to proposition other shoppers.

Fx also is well known by taxis for easy pickup or return trips.

The only negative I can think of is it's in the area with possibly the worst traffic in Jakarta. To go any where at start or end of the business day will take literally a couple of hours. Depending in your Game this may open up other opportunities as many girls from the nearbye office building hit the food courts with their friends to burn off a couple of hours until traffic clears.

If is at a nice location but you have to pass by reception narrow area. It is very convenient if you want to pick girls from Leila club on level 8. But I am bit unsure if this hotel allows multiple girls as you can take easily in Shangri La. I appreciate if some one can clarify this hotel's guest policy.

Does anyone have any intel about what has happened to hotel prices in Jakarta recently? I'm referring specifically about the Mulia, but the Shangri La has also gone through the roof. I stayed at both of these places for US $270 and US $250 respectively a night in March and April this year, but just went to book the Mulia for late August and early September and the best rate I could get for the same room was US $710! Have I missed something?
