You shouldn't be going to the DR.
Read between the lines a little. Why is it so cheap here?
Unless you have a little hardcore in you or enjoy this type of challenge just for sex then this is not the place for you.
Unless you're like Frannie who (for some reason) has consigned himself to life in a place where he has to 'treat them like dogs' or Pooter who appears to have the time and patience to time the waves so as not to get knocked down or WRX who lets it all roll off like water off a duck then you're going to find yourself working very, very hard for a little tail because you have to have to be 'on it' 24/7 here and that's not a vacation by most standards.
And remember, these guys live here and they're telling you its not easy! You don't even know what you don't know.
Better, even if you don't have much money, to save up and hit Aruba or even better Curacao. No crime, no drama. Just umbrella drinks on a white sandy beach and all the tail you need. Real police on duty, no scams and only minor language issues.
Just not for pennies like the DR.
Reading stuff like this makes me really concerned about Sosua and is a big turn off. Buy the girl a drink in Brazil (excluding Rio and I avoid Rio totally) , or some other Latin countries and they are usually nice and warm towards you, even if it is a place where they do not get a kickback from the drink. This kind of violent behavior is what concerns me about Sosua, that a very large percentage are hardcore! Do most have pimps? Percentage-wise is this libel. A 1 in 4 thing? My first time to DR for vacation is next month and I am quite apprehensive about Sosua. But have already booked 7 nights at Casa Cayena?
It always is a function of who you are and who they are
I agree with Frannie.
While the term "treat them like dogs" comes off overly harsh, it's important to understand that you're in a 3rd world country and these women are searching for any weakness to exploit. You can be firm on the front end then soften up once they've earned it but if you start out "weak" they'll begin taking liberties. (like not giving you oral) and you could end up being scammed or in jail. Women will prey on your good naturedness if you don't set your boundaries early. I'll happily offer my lady a drink, a snack or a quick game of fruit ninja AFTER she's taken care of my needs, never before. I don't accept tardiness, laziness or rudeness from the women I deal with.
I have never treated anyone like a dog in my life and I don't intend to begin. There are predators of every stripe everywhere in the world, not just in the 3rd world. We in the developed world pretend to be polite, but that is only because we are so comfortable in our wealth.
I have been robbed by professional women, but I have also been loved by professional women. I'm a nice guy but if you push me in the corner you better be ready to deal with maximum consequences because I won't hesitate to do what I think is necessary to protect myself. If that means permanent damage to the aggressor, too bad.
Sure these people, men and women, are often desperate. Hello! Do you think many of these women enjoy their situation? Dream on or continue fooling yourself. So yes, you need to be on your double guard.
But if you choose to go over to the other side of the balance and become an oppressor, that is a choice you are making. Pay attention to local norms, try to understand where the local perspective is grounded, and you will eliminate a lot of potential problems before they start.
But if you secretly enjoy being a slave master, hey, don't blame the slave for trying to get back some of his / her own.
And to make it doubly clear, I am making general comments here, based on the ongoing conversation. My comments are not directed to any of the current speakers. They are directed to all of the readers.
BTW, I initially took Frannies' comment about treating them like dogs to be an analogy towards training dogs, not that he actually thinks of them like lower animals. But he doesn't need my interpretation of his remarks.
