I was unfortunate enough to be in Pattaya during Songkran a couple of years ago, I made the mistake of thinking it only lasted a few days (13th-15th).
How anyone can regard it as "fun" is a total mystery to me, there is no opt out option, you could be 90 years old and in a wheelchair, you will still get soaked day and night.

the pickup at the airport for 1700 baht is a ripoff. i'm here in pattaya now for the third time this year, and i tried the 1700b special the first time. what a total waste of money. i think it wound up costing a little over 3,000b by the time i was finished, and i was nauseous from the ride.

far better is vr taxi service [url]http://www.pattaya-taxi.com/[/url] they charge 1100baht each way all inclusive. they send a driver to wait for you at the airport just outside door 3, and he'll have a little sign with your name on it. airport to hotel was right at an hour and 20 minutes, depending on time of day and traffic. the extra 600baht that you save will be better spent at the pump station or [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900][CodeWord900][/url] after a shower and a shave rather than in the back seat of a beat up taxi going 120 km/hr down the thailand tollway.

you could save even a few baht more by risking a taxi from the airport...they charge about 1000 baht, but you never know what kind of a crazy driver or what kind of beat up taxi you're going to wind up with.

it's just great to know that a driver is waiting for you when you get off a long flight, and you don't have to do a thing. when you book online, just tell them what hotel your're going to and you don't have to say even 1 word to the driver. even though the 1100baht is all inclusive, i always give the driver an extra 100 baht, and they are eternally grateful. what a bargain for about $35 usd. it cost me $50 to get to the airpost in las vegas for an 8 mile ride that took 14 minutes!

day 1. bells bus from airport to pattaya bus terminal then bells van to galaxy suites in soi diamond – 200 baht. government bus from airport is only 106 baht but i missed it.

a quick shower, a random meeting with a friend from a previous visit in walking stret (young but had packed on a few extra kg in the last month  ) some noodles then the baht bus to soi 6. soi 6 hasn’t changed much in the month i’ve been away, only that the girls look hungrier – if that is possible. accosted on the street by a smaller and younger school-girl uniform clad girlie who convinced me (easily) to have a drink. st upstairs – 300 bar and 700 girl and a very enjoyable session. she is newish so still shags like a girlfriend, which was fun. decent bbbj, lots of positions, very tight and into photos – who could ask for more?

Dream Teen Pattaya:

I got there after 19:00 and selection was poor. Anyway, decided for a Oil and Ball Massage (1h 400B). If you have ever had a fassion massage in BKK, you will be disappointed. Service 3rd class, but prices first class: 500B HJ, 1000B BJ, 1500B FS (no negotiation). The girl was such unmotivated, so I just went for a HJ. Even this was bad.

I must admit, when I left after 20:00, the selection was much better. Saw some pretty girls.

As I was in soi Buakhao already, I used the opportunity to check out the Go-Gos there, and on the way back to South Pattaya (by scooter), stopped by at TQ: Oasis a go-go: friendly atmosphaere, but not many pretty girls.

Club Blu: wow, I was surprisedto see so many stunners. Even the last 3 days in South Pattaya I haven't seen as many in one bar. On top of my list for tomorrow. TQ (beach road): Oh my god, I think the average age on the stage was 35.

Anyway, at least good music. Probably much better in the afternoon.

Yes I have contact information but can not place here as admin will not allow. Just go on walking street arrond 200 mtrs from entrance and look FLB bar. Just opposite you will fond Beach Inn Garden Bar with lots of pool table. Just cross two table and you will fond the Hotel entrance. I think they have put their display board also. Good hotel in heart of nightlife place with reasonable rate.

Glad to hear Club Blu is still full of stunners. I was there some time back and it is always on my list to revist, but I never seem to get out of Walking Street.
They also have ST rooms upstairs, as well as week and month rental rooms.
Definitely on my list for Apr/May.

Heaven Above also has a private party room with spa.
