Jakarta - Hotels

Thanks.[/QUOTE]I did one search on skyscanner and for some random dates on a 2/3 night stay between 25th of Aug till the 5th of September, as well as for the entire period 25/8 - 5/9 I found the Shangri-La to be between 200-250 USD and the Mulia around the 400 mark. Maybe check and change your booking site.

Grand Hyatt $135 (hotel site),
Fairmont $127 (Agoda),
Shangri-la $155 with bfst (Agoda),
Ayana MidPlaza (former InterContinental) $101 (Expedia), and
the Mulia Senayan $276 (Agoda).

I never pay the rack rate which can be up to 3 times the rates I have posted above.

It is a strange hotel, with the reception desk tucked away and easy to miss when you enter the mall. It is completely girl friendly, like most hotels in Jakarta. The rooms are a bit small, but the view from the rooms is magnificent, since the hotel occupies the top part of the tower. What turned me off, was that the hotel has no restaurant so breakfast has to be 'enjoyed' in the downstairs mall, which is then still mainly closed and dark. During my next visits I stayed in the Century Park, next door.

Can someone please advise if it is girl-friendly?

Looking at a possible business trip to Jakarta, and my first time. Does anyone know if Grand Hyatt Jakarta has any offerings like the Grand Hyatt in Singapore in regards to clubs for women to meet with guests or is it girl friendly? Any known hotspots in the area of the hotel? Thanks!

Go down South to Shangri-La with BATS or Mulia for CJ's, or up north to the brothels, Malioboro being closest, but Classic is also reasonably close. RTFF for what the difference is between the 4 places.

With the exception of the "shariah" hotels, which will be clearly advertised as only accepting "married" couples.

Actually, my last trip I struggled to get laid anywhere in Jakarta.
