Global Sim Card with 20% off code: opinions please!
This site: celtrek.com/index.php/checkout/cart/ offers global sim cards at the following prices:
$19 inclides $10 airtime
$49 includes $45 airtime
$99 includes $99 airtime
The code amptly named 20off makes it a little more attractive.
My question is: I'm visiting Peru and Costa Rica in April. While their prices for Costa Rica are very good, their Peru rates are quite expensive:
Rate Calculations From Peru To United States of America
Incoming call: $0.99
Outgoing call to cellular in United States of America: $1.29
Outgoing call to land line in United States of America: $1.29
Call to local cellular in Peru: $1.50
Call to local land line in Peru: $1.29
Sending an SMS from Peru: $0.32
Incoming SMS from anywhere: FREE
The advantages of having this global card are that they ship it to me, so I don't have to buy two sim cards in two countries (provided the card actually works as advertised). But are those rates comparable with what local operators are charging?
