Its a tie?[/QUOTE]Brazil vs Thailand is a bit off topic for the Rio forum. Just have a couple of tweaks on the analysis. So Paulo is fairly safe, IMO. There are several neighborhoods I don't mind walking alone in after midnight, or having sex outdoors. The cost of groceries depends on the store. My diarista in Rio spent 90 are per week on groceries for me and that was good for five or six meals, and she was a good cook and cleaner. Rent varies. 2/2 off Av. Alantica with weekly maid service is $usd2000 per month. I can get the same price in So Paulo for a studio, but the street sex neighborhood runs another 1 k per month. If you don't mind living in the suburbs of SP, you can buy a 2 bed 3 bath for about $usd200 k.

In my opinion it is a tough choice as both countries have their strength and weaknesses. I have been visiting Rio and Pattaya for years. I speak Portuguese but not thai, which indirectly shows my preference.

Girls: For me Brazilian ladies wins hands down. On average sex is better and I find Brazilians more attractive. Prices are cheaper in Thailand though. If you want a live-in girlfriend I would think this would be easier in Thailand.

Food: Clearly a very individual choice. I do not particularly care for Thai food, so while Brazilian food is not the best in the world I prefer it to Thai food. In terms of cost Thailand is cheaper.

Safety: Thailand is the clear winner. It is much safer than Brazil.

Accommodation: Thailand is a clear winner in terms of value for money. Apples to apples Thailand is significantly cheaper and good condos or hotels can be had for at reasonable cost.

Groceries: I can find pretty much everything I want in both countries. Prices are lower in Thailand.

Locals: I would like to add this category as I feel the attitude of locals are an important part of how much I enjoy a place. For me Brazil wins this category as I, unlikely in Thailand, have never had the feeling that the locals disliked foreigners.

At the end of the day for me the decision depends on budget constraints. If I were on a tight budget Thailand would be a clear winner, while if money was less of an issue Brazil is a winner for me given my preference for Brazilian ladies and language skills.

Thailand is way way better for safety, accommodation, food and value for money. Brazil is none of these but the woman have great asses. I am prepared to put up with a lot of shit for a great ass. My Vote is for Brazil.

Comparing Thailand vs Brazil. I also want to clutter the thread. :D

* Accomodation, groceries and safety: Everybody can propably agree that Thailand wins when it comes to accomodation, groceries and safety. Brazil isn't cheap anymore.
* Food: When it comes to food it's a matter of taste. I prefer brazilian food even though I like thai food as well.
* Locals: Brazil wins without any doubt. Thai people are nice and smiling. However, with brazilians you can make much more true friends. Friends for life.

* Not to forget the countries culture, music, dance and nature. Brazil wins over Thailand. Brazil is huge. You'll find jungle, beaches, mountains and deserts. 27 states where people, music and dancing are very much different depending on the region. Brazil is much more than Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

* Girls: It's a matter of taste. Brazil offers women of all colours and sizes. The hottest women on the earth. Not to forget the regular girls in Brazil that are way easier to pick than thai girls. Brazil wins easily.

With regard to the quoted assertions by Sperto I will like to add that it is easier to pick up Brazilian women if you speak Portuguese. I have had opportunities to pick up non-pros in Brazil, in the malls, supermarkets, eating places, etc. whereby they initiate conversation with me but none can speak English and the conversation goes nowhere; a translation app is useless in those circumstances for me; its tiresome to the girls. Its easier for me to pick up regular girls in Thailand as many speak English.

I like Brazilian music and culture, so here Brazil over Thailand.

One must keep in mind also that Thailand is much more than Bangkok and Pattaya. Thailand can match and probably, in the views of the numerous tourists, surpass Brazil in terms of jungle, beaches, adventure, etc.

It is easy to accept the fact that Thailand is better for someone on a tight budget and perhaps Brazil might be better for the owner of a bulging purse.

If we were in a Thailand thread, then I'm sure the vote would easily go to Thailand. Well, I'm going to add my 2 cents. Thailand is a fascinating place. The people, the cuisine, the culture, the religion, the music, the architecture. Hell, even the Muay Thai kickboxing! There's no question that for a westerner like me, Thailand is clearly the more "exotic" place. But on the other hand, I'm just not that attracted to most Asian / Thai women.

Listen, I once went a full 72 hours in Pattaya before I saw a Thai tute who I wanted to fuck! Imagine that? In Pattaya with all of those Thai girls! Can any of us Brazil lovers here imagine something like that happening in the Marvelous City? No way! You see more hotties in one day than you could possibly have LOL! And for me, that makes Brazil, not the most exotic, but the most "erotic" of the two. And as a monger, at the of the day, that's what matters to me.

While I would like to mix it up in the land of the Gansta Bundas on a more regular basis it is a 24 hour+ trip each way while just a few hours gets me to places almost as good.
