On Saturdays, Solarium and Monte Carlo are open till 2 am, Perola Negra is open till 5 am and Paris Cafe is open till 4 am.

On sundays, meet a terma girl or hit Mosaic or some clinicas.

It's a relatively newer neighborhood than Copa or Ipanema but much more residential but in recent years there are now several good hotels. It's sort of modeled after Miami beach with new high rise condos along the beach and American type shopping malls. Plenty of restaurants and dance clubs and bars packed with middle to upper middle class young women same as the beach praia do Pepe.

Barra the tijuka is big, the clubs I mentioned are far away from the Barra the Tijuka stations. Only a taxi trip to Paris Cafe from the last subway station of Barra the Tijuka, costs 70 reais. Avenida das Americas is a very long avenue stretching From Barra to Recreo, Paris cafe is in Recreo. You can also take BRT buses from the Jardim Oceaanico station. To go to swing clubs you need to have a girl with you.

Howdy guys. I stopped going to Rio right before the World Cup / Olympics madness, but am hopping back into to the mix and going back to Rio soon. Are the same Termas still up and running, eg. 4 x 4, Monte Carlo, T65, Solarium, etc. I heard that Centaurus was shut down but reckon it's back up and operating now, yes? Any new good venues pop up in the last few years?

Just out of curiosity, how much does an hour session at a place like Monte Carlo run now? When I was last in Brasil inflation was out of control. Just want to know what to expect.
