Filipinas - Opinions and Advice

Utang na loob doesn't really mean debt to the family. It's more of a debt of the heart (inside is right), and it's an obligation that's so deeply ingrained that it never goes away.

Philippines society works on a constantly-shifting network of obligations, and utang can be incurred by anyone in relation to anyone else. Certainly the deepest debt is to the parent (for the privilege of being born), and then to the siblings and extended families but the network expands constantly and changes all the time.

Couldnt agree more on this. After spending some time in a small province on Bohol, the prices I paid for almost everything dropped dramatically once the locals learned I was married to one of their own.

I dont get upset at the inflated pricing charged, most things sold in sari sari stores etc only carry a 1 - 5 peso profit at best so is a few extra pesos can make a difference to someones life well so be it.

Read a sad story in the paper today. About a Filipina committing suicide as she arrived in Manila from the province only to find her husband fulfilling his sexual needs elsewhere.

It made me think about those poor Filipino guys who fuck the same girls we PAY to fuck….makes no sense. A prominent rapper once asked a question in one his songs. What is the definition of a player? The guy who is wealthy or in a position of power and attracts women this way or the guy who doesn't have a dollar to his name but still attracts women?

My girlfriend and I would like to spend a month living on the beach somewhere. We would also like a bisexual girl or two to live with us to share our fantasy of having a harem to have fun with. A non-stop feast of pleasure with good food, good wine and great sex.

Any advice on location, how to find the girls, prices and so on would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to research the beaches of Boracay. Its a tourist area with a lot of potential things you may want to do. Another great location is Cebu and Davao. You can get them cheap and most of them will tend to agree on your fantasies. Going closer to Luzon or Manila will minimize your chances. You can try Subic bay in Luzon but its going to be hard.

Sounds like the plot for an excellent wet dream, SM:D.

You will have little problem finding the beach (Philippines = 7,000+ islands), but you may find it a little harder finding a Pinay bisexual or two to share your desert island fantasy. There doesn't seem to be many Filipina's around who openly admit to be bi. You will certainly find more girls to fit your requirements in Thailand than here.

That said, I do know a couple of genuine bi's, but being party animals, I doubt whether they would enjoy being stuck on a isolated beach, out of circulation, for a month. However if you decided on Boracay, they might just be interested, if you made it worth their while.

Reminds me of a bus trip I took a long time ago from outside Heritage Hotel to Puerto Azul.

We set off and conducter came round to collect the fares.

Price for my wife was something like P150 peso, and price for me (being clearly foreign) was P500.

My wife being Filipina was horrified that her husband was being ripped off so blatantly. Conductor dumbly stated that the price for my "seat" was P500. So we switched seats. Poor guy had no justification in his argument with my wife as to why I should be paying so much more. She ended the conversation by stating that she hoped if the conductor and whoever ran the bus company ever got out of the Philippines, that he would be mercilessly ripped off in whatever country he was in based on the colour of his skin. Rest of passengers applauded I remember. We took the trip back via another bus company. Each of us paying exactly the same fare as the other.

I know she is not a Filipina but when I read the story I thought that is the kind of thing a scorned Pinay might try. If you play around, hide the lighter fuel :D.

This is a story about a Japanese guy who visited and rented one of our aprtments outside Manila this past few weeks.

His gf is filipina whom he met in Japan 3 years earlier. Hes been sending her money and has visited several times.

His GF rented our apt for 4000 peso for 3 weeks. Then loaded the place with tv, fridge furniture etc all on the BF's tab. (told BF it was 10,000)

Things seemed cool the Japanese played cards with my father in law and all seemed well. Except she has lesbian GF and gay ladyboy posing as her relatives, all hanging out and leaching from Japanese guy. He gets wind that they ripping him off and hides his cash.

They go balistic and attack him and lay a beating on his ass, they then try to enlist the neighbours to extort money from him and have got their local police contacts assisting them.

Fortunately for the Japanese my father in law shows up and pulls the gays off him and intervenes with the police using the Barangay official and the neighbours, standing up and give evidence. The police had taken him into custody but they were able to get him out.

Hes now getting death threats etc. He was shaking like a leaf. Lucky for him he is in heighbourhood of decent people and a neighbour who could speak Japanese. Turns out this scam artist has 3 bf's all sending money. This could have turned out alot worse for this guy. Moral of the story. Be careful and don't send money unless you really know who you are dealing with.

Good God...She is an Indian women...Rajini Narayanan..High Caste from southern part of India...I just wrote in Living in the Philiphines thread how we Indian men suffer forcefull marriage due to our customs and had to endure Indian women for life for that reason we monger and run away to the Philiphines..:)

This sounds too cheap for the usual travel destination - unless it is a dump.

I'm rather fond of the unusual travel destinations. Send me a pm.

I'll probably do the usual MNL / AC / Subic tour in March, but have several weeks to play with in July.
