Hey,
I am not new to mongering but have not been to Santo Domingo for this purpose before.
I wanted to get some feedback about where the best place to stay within the City might be that is chica friendly.
In addition. I really want a beach getaway. And if I decide to stay over in Boca Chica. Where are the best beach properties that are chica friendly?
Any input, feedback or suggestions on locations to stay in both the city and the beach would be greatly appreciated.

It looks great! I just hope SD doesn't get a bunch of new guys coming to town on account of that map and drive the chica prices up. LOL
You better watch out because the taxi syndicate is going to be "looking" for you. Who needs a taxi with a map like that.

There are a few other shopping malls closer to the city center. Some chicas have told me they like Acropolis Center, Avenida Winston Churchill and Rafael Augusto Sanchez (Hijo), [url]http://www.acropolisdr.com[/url]. Acropolis Center can be seen on the google map.

There is another large hotel at the other end of Boca Chica beach, I can't remember the name and don't know if it is chica friendly. There are numerous smaller hotels in Boca Chica, most are not directly on the water, but within a five to ten minute walk to the beach. Many years ago I stayed at the Hamaca Hotel (not chica friendly) and walked around Boca Chica, all hours of the day and night. There are a few massage parlors in Boca Chica that you can use for sex. I don't think you will find the cream of the crop in Boca Chica at night. Some rough chicas there at night, be careful.
Not sure if it is worth it to sleep in Boca Chica, depends what you want. I rent a car and stay in a hotel in Santo Domingo and when I want the beach I'll drive to Boca Chica or Juan Dolio in the daytime.
Numerous chica friendly hotels in Santo Domingo. Depends on how much you want to spend and what amenities you like. Jaguar Hotel (not Rennaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino) and Hotel Piazor are from 40-60 per night, these two hotels are close to the action, you can walk from these two hotels to find working girls.
Hotel Palacio in zona colonial is a very nice chica friendly hotel, but not many working girls wandering around at night within close proximity of this hotel. Zona Colonial at night has many empty streets. From Hotel Palacio at night you would probably have to drive or take a taxi to another part of the city to find a good assortment of chicas. (or a very long walk at night, not recommended).
Easiest location is around the Hotel Riazor, within 4 blocks of this hotel there are numerous places to find chicas (sky house, girls house, the street on Avenue Independencia at night, the casino in Hotel Renaissance Jaragua, Lapsus, La Parada, Coppa disco and Hotel Melia Casino). I have never stayed in the Hotel Riazor. Hotel Riazor is on Ave. Independencia, directly behind Hotel Renaissance Jaragua and Casino and next door is Manolos restaurant which is open 24/7. Ave. Independencia is a very busy street in the daytime at times with bumper to bumper traffic.
Many guys like Jaguar Hotel, I have not stayed at Jaguar Hotel (which is close to Hotel Riazor).
If you rent a car and don't mind driving, or don't mind taking taxis, then there are other chica friendly hotel options in Santo Domingo.

Some bigger hotels in Santo Domingo are cheaper, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. For example the Hilton sdq is about 236 dollars per night midweek, however on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the price drops to 111.
Orbitz has a coupon code that knocks 15% off the price of most hotels. Type in SUMMERVIN, in the "I have a promotion code" box and click apply and reprice. With the code the price for two at the Hilton sdq drops to 98 dollars per night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This copun is good till August 15, 2009.
Another Orbitz copun is WELCOME10, which takes 10% off and may be good till October 2009.
With the coupon, one night at Coral Costa Caribe all inclusive hotel in Juan Dolio can be reserved for 78 dollars per night for two people. Previously I had seen the Coral Costa Caribe charging 160 dollars per night for two people.
There is also a good coupon for package deals (air and hotel), if you book for 6 or more nights with airfare, use promotion code (coupon) ENTERTAIN200, which will knock 200 dollars off the price of the package. Works for package trips to sdq, puerto plata, santiago, the bigger hotels in Sosua as well. Casa Marina Hotel in Sosua can be reserved fairly cheaply, especially if two people in the room.

Something tells me it is going to be up to us to post the map somewhere good, the most logical place being in the Reports of Distinction thread.
My question is, are you guys happy with the map as it is, or should we wait a bit? If the answer is yes it is done, I would ask anyone who might agree with this idea to post it in the ROD thread.
This map makes SD less intimidating to the first time punter and I know that if I am armed with it, and go to SD, I would feel a lot better.

I was under the impression that the MPs had all been closed, but now I read that they not only exist, but offer discounts.
I have a short window of time next Wednesday after a meeting in Santo Domingo before I have to get to the airport. I would appreciate some comments about which MPs people have attended and if the have nice looking chicas. In all honesty, I had intended to pull out a girl in Casa Azul, because they are (unofficially) open 24 hours a day, and it will be about noon time when there is nothing happening eslsewhere.

A bit of a walk to get to where the chicas are, there are plenty of taxis, if you don't mind paying. Napolitano is a bigger hotel than Riazor. Napolitano has a pool I believe on the 4th floor. Riazor has no pool. I have never stayed at either one, but have been by both of them plenty of times. Riazor has a somewhat better location, especially if you don't have a car. From Riazor you can easily walk to numerous places to find chicas. From Napolitano you will have a much longer walk. Appears to me Napolitano is probably a little more modern than Riazor. Riazor is small.
I like to swim, so I usually try and find a place with a pool. Boca Chica beach is about 35 minutes by car from the Napolitano.
Jaguar and Riazor are considered small hotels, Napolitano is midsized, near a hundred rooms. Prices on Napolitano usually round 80-90 dollars, Riazor and Jaguar 50- 60 dollars. Napolitano has breakfast buffet for 2 until 10 am. They also have a pool, restaurant, and a recently renovated disco and casino. All rooms have sea view because it is in the malecon. Napolitano is near Babydolls and Foxys, Riazor and Jaguar near Lapsus, La Parada, Girls and Sky house. All hotels are guest friendly. You can go to Lapsus etc, from Napolitano, maybe a 15 minute walk. It is not bad to walk, some of my contacts have been done while walking. I was on Napolitano one day on May and had the time of my life, my best night of the trip with Casa Azul girls. Napolitano rooms have minibar, if you do not want the girls to eat or drink from minibar ask management to clean it up, items are expensive. Jaguar have some rooms with 18' refrigerators so you can buy your groceries and save some money.

BoricuaOnline summed it up pretty nice for you.
Riazor and Jaguar, the two smaller hotels are pretty much equal. The biggest difference is Riazor is right on Avenida Independencia where Jaguar is a two short block walk off of Independencia. Late at night it is a lonely dark walk back to Jaguar. I do it all the time but I am familiar with SD.
A deal breaker for me is a hotel without a safe and without a frig. Jaguar has a safe large enough for a laptop and all rooms have a frig.
Are you going to base yourself in SD and maybe take a daytrip or two to Boca Chica?
