Hey,

The hotel I'm staying in doesn't have a joiner fee at all. In fact, they have been overly welcoming of girls. I found a girl last night using wechat (Chinese version of facebook) and she came directly to my room and knocked on the door. I didn't even have to meet her at the front desk. I'm sure other hotels have different policies, but hotels won't question any random lady hanging from your arm. They seem to know what's up.

As far as barfines, I haven't paid one yet. I've seen signs saying 1000 before midnight and 800 after. That appears to be pretty standard.

On an interesting side note, I had a wonderful afternoon with a beautiful girl for 1000 baht short time, and the next night I saw her dancing in a go-go charging double plus barfine for the same price. She was making extra money on the side during the day and then go-go dancing at night. It made me realize that every price here is subjective to terms and conditions.

I'll be hitting Soi 6 today. I'll let everyone know what shenanigans I discover while walking down that wonderful street!

Typical beer bars and there are plenty of them, have lower bar fines ranging from 500 to 750 Bhat, whereas go go bars will have higher bar fines.

Seems kind of risky to have her come right to your room without a public meeting to confirm she was who she claimed to be.

Since we will be busy overnight and sometimes in afternoon mongering but there is a limit to it we can do in a day. Rest of the day we can visit nice places in and around Pattaya and indulge in some sports, activities, scuba, sight seeing, etc. Is there any reliable agency available so that we can pre book online a cute English speaking Thai / others girl as a guide who knows all places well and help us with these extra curricular activities?

I had a friend from the states in town and took him out to all the good places (actually all the naughty places). I came to Pattaya a year ago, my trip report was rather good, but I've had nothing but disappointment since I've been here last night.
