Just a follow up trip report, which is over due and a long one. So I had a bad first day and then redeemed by the second day. My third day ended up being pretty decent. So all in all, it was okay, not as great as my first time. I was here almost exactly one year ago, and because I found such a gem easily and quickly, it really set high expectations and standards for this trip. I broke the first cardinal rule, Always temper expectations, that way you can avoid disappointments.

It's my last night here and I ended up doing lots of touristy things during the day time. Sancturary of truth is breath taking. Mini siam is pretty cool too. I'd avoid nong nooch because it's full of east Asian tourists, whom I hate with a passion when I travel.

The tourist friendliness is attracting a lot of high paying customers, who attract some of the hottest ass from around the country, however, the service and prices has probably gone to shit. Versus in Angeles city, it's trying to be tourist friendly by killing the walking street there, so they can't get customers or hot girls willing to do a lot for so little.

Anyways, currently in Bangkok, and unfortunately, the same thing is happening here as well.

Many seasoned travellers will agree that the Chinese New Year break is probably the worst time to travel anywhere in SEA. Expensive flights, hotel tariffs that can be labelled extortionist, crowded streets and tourist spots and a mad rush for shopping. But a week ahead of the CNY break is possibly the best time to travel.

I had read about Air Asia commencing scheduled flights to you-Tapao airport in Rayong from Nov 2015. This airport is a Naval Airbase and is a popular destination for charter flights coming in from Russia & China. I even saw a 777-300 ER aircraft belonging to Mongolian Airlines. A real long hop.

While the airport leaves much to be desired, the beauty is you can be at Pattaya (beach road) in less than an hour and it takes a sum of 800 thb to get here by private taxi. Cheaper options are available depending on time of the day.

Night / Day 1 - 03/04 Feb.

My Air Asia flight, a well maintained A320 aircraft landed at 2220 hours on Wed 03 Feb. Since this was the last flight for the day I did not anticipate a crowd at immigration. But since there were just 3 counters operating at that time (and at all other times too) it took a while to get past. I dread to think what would happen if 3 or 4 flights land in a short time span. Just ONE baggage belt. Not much to shop after baggage collection.

2. Sugar. LK Metro. Large bar. 2 entrances. Very sad lineup and I regretted ordering a drink. Slightly cheaper drinks. A whisky cost me 130 thb. I did not check LD prices or BF and ST rates. Strangely this bar was packed wall to wall with guests while Destiny with a much better line up was relatively empty. I left the bar without finishing my drink and walked in next door to Paradise. Time spent less than 15 minutes.

3. Paradise. LK Metro. Clearly this one has the right direction about how a bar should be run. 30 to 35 girls all of them easily 7. 5 and above. Black and white decor with custom lighting on tables. Great aircon and friendly waitresses. Got a whisky at 150 thb and within 10 minutes called over 2 hotties for a LD each. If I remember right they were numbered 19 and 57. Both of them were absolutely gorgeous and provided me some wonderful entertainment in the bar. LDs are 240 thb again. 4 LDs in all purchased. BF 700 and ST on offer was 2500. I was offered a threesome with a discount of 20%. Here it was harder to shake off the girls as they had invested a lot of time in warming me up. But I held my ground and politely left the bar. Time spent about an hour.

The weather was good and it was just shy of 9. 00 pm. Got a motorbike taxi to drop me off at WS. At the entrance of WS I had a tender coconut and felt refreshed. Time to round up the GoGos on WS.

4. Taboo – A new GoGo on the right as soon as you enter WS. I think this was Lighthouse previously? Went in, looked around and saw all of 2 customers. Did not take a seat. Walked around the stage area to take a good look at the scant number of girls dancing lazily and proceeded to exit. Time spent less than 5 minutes.

5. Sensations – Now this was a GoGo where I had picked up the door girl Fern 2 nights ago. She saw me and dragged me in again and begged me to barfine her again. 7. Glasshouse – I think this one is a bit underrated. I found to really good looking girls here.
