It is my first time in Rio, speak very little Portuguese and I am staying just 3 minutes walk away from Barbarella. I had no intention of going to Barbs before coming to Rio, but after reading about TomJacking's great experience there, I thought maybe the place had changed. Afterwards, they demanded for the payment saying that they needed to paid upfront given their bad experiences of customers not wanting to pay after the deed. I thought this was fair and handed 600 R over to the first girl but this was the beginning of the trouble. The other girl said I needed to pay her 600 R as well that the deal was 600 R for each lady. I laughed at her and told her to stop it if it was a joke. She started raising her voice at this point saying she needed to be paid her money and the second girl supported her on this claim. I told them there isn't any problem that they should just give me back my 600 R and they can leave since we haven't done anything. This was where the shit got interesting. The First girl said the 600 R was for the time she had spent with me since leaving the club which had not been more than 30 minutes at this point and did not include any sex, and she could not give me the money back.
The second girl said she would call the cops if I do not pay her 600 R. It was almost 4 am at this time and told them to let us go back to Mabs and resolve it with the Management there, but they refused to leave my apartment, with the second girl constantly threatening to call the police. I told her I am not paying any 600 R and I actually need to get my 600 R back from the first girl. The second girl made a call on her phone and I could hear her give my apartment number over the phone. About 10 minutes after there was a loud knock on my door, when I opened the door there were two police officers with guns standing at the entrance, I was told to put my hands behind my back and I was searched. I told the officers that I was glad they came and told them everything that had happened with my little Portuguese and that they should help me collect my money back from the first girl. Instead the officers said I had to pay 600 R to the second girl since I had agreed the price with her earlier.
I looked the officers in the face and said I can not pay her any dime and only agreed to pay 600 R to both of them. I showed the officer the 10 R remaining in my pocket, having locked away all my money earlier when we got to the apartment saying there was no way I could get any 600 R and that I was very happy to follow them to the station to report the case. The officers asked for my ID, which I gave them and pretended to be writing something down. Afterwards they said they would have to take the girls home. I asked them again to retrieve my money from the first girl since I did not do anything to which they replied that there was nothing they could do. The eventually left my apartment around 4:45 am.
I could imagine this happening with a SW but not at Barbs. Thanks goodness I did not buy the drugs for them, I could be in jail now.

The Museum was to be completed in 2014. That didn't happen. The next target date was 2016, for the Rio Olympics. That date was missed too. Construction stopped around Nov 2016 with 70% of the building competed. (They ran out of money.) Unknown when it will be completed, (if ever.).

They are planning to finish the construction of MIS. About 90% of the construction are completed. They are supposed to to open the Museu in Dezember 2019. Only 5 years delayed.

I totally agree, don't get mixed up in drugs, its a world of grief and not worth it. Don't pay upfront and make it absolutely clear before you leave the club what you will pay. Again, well done for locking everything down in your room before leaving to go out, this is important. When I come back to my room we pass the doorman, I always say to the girl before we go to my apartment that the doorman will need to see your I. The. I also point out the CCTV in the hall as we arrive. That little ritual has always worked for me, it maybe shows them that you are switched on and are taking your own security seriously. Usually it's a small problem and manageable and every so often you get a big one, yours was pretty big, looks like you got through it ok without too much damage. Those cops could have been her friend and they do this all the time together, they were probably hoping for the total 1200 and if you had drugs they would have extracted a few thousand more out of you. I know there are guys who use them and guys who even bring them in to trade for sex with the girls. If the police catch you with them, they will at a minimum take them and try to get some money from you to not arrest you. Learn the word JEITO (Jay-Toe) which literally means way. Is there some way around this problem? Yes, a bribe.
If they arrest you, do not expect it to go well and they most likely will hint again at a bribe.

Had to part with some change in Thailand without getting even getting a peck on the cheek. Lesson learnt.
Next time in Jakarta I had booked a massage girl through Line App. When I opened the door of my hotel found two girls there. On my first trip I went to Monte Carlo and got lucky but I'the recommend a terma as a first time experience instead of boates.
