I got in at 1 am last night and high tailed it down to Fields. I went to look for a girl I know who works in Equus but did not see her. When I left out I got to talking to the door girls. When people ask me if it is my first time here I will say yes from now on. The chick kept trying to get me to go on the dance floor, but there was no way I was losing this prime location. She finally went out there with the friend and the guy.

In either case, the country will once again become a bottomless pit for the expenditure of US tax dollars.

The agreement was signed last year (2015) under EDCA to allow greater access to 8 bases in the Philippines for "rotation of ships and planes for humanitarian and maritime security operations".

I don't know why the Inquirer is "headlining" it today.

Subic and Clark are not on the list of bases to be used. Even those used are not a build up of thousands of forces. They will be Philippine bases the USA Will upgrade to meet you. S standards / modernization. That is how it was approved to appease everyone since sole USA Bases are no longer allowed.

If I would hazard a guess, the US would possibly build up the Airbase in the Ilocos Airport to the north, the historical Marcos powerbase for this purpose due to geography and the minimal footprint from takeoffs and landings. Thats my contribution to the wild speculation. I'm likely wrong but I have been to illocos and it is pretty advanced area by Phils standards.

The focus is Chinese activity in the South China Sea and the US needs, possibly a tiny phils airbase footprint to address it.
