I went to Centaurus armed only with the knowledge from Bwana guide and raised a bit of stink claiming that they charged me tourist prices (120 entry, 300 reals for 40 min) (the guides say something like 90/230) if memory serves me right. About communicating with the Garotas in Portuguese. If they dont understand you, they will pull up fingers telling you how much. Spanish numbers and hours are similar to Portuguese numbers...you'll get by.

Only probelm you would have, would be ordering a GDP from an agency. Unless you know someone who knows Portuguese that can order for you.

Girls range in prices. If you read the posts here, you will see after 3am prices drop dramatically anywhere you go. At midnight, expect the bidding to start between R400-R500 for the night. With agencies, you can''t negotiate the prices.

Just remember this, if you can get a decent price between R200-250 it will be later..much later in the evening. Just me, but at 3 or 4am, I personally only have gas in my tank for one time around. Why pay R250 for one time around? I personally like to call the agencies around 8pm and drill for oil 2 hours with her. When she leaves around 10pm, I've only paid R120-R150 for the 2 hours. I'm content, take a nap and wake up around 1:30am and go to Help to see what I can bargain with as the night goes deeper.

You should probably re-post in the general information section to get better responses.

Language will not be a barrier in Copacabana. Money runs things in Copa and money is universal. I have seen guys writing numbers on a napkin to negotitate. Since you do not speak Porto and have no reputation in Copa, you should stick to Geo's advice and just play the market to your advantage. Do not try to negotiate too hard, just get the price you want at the time you want. If late at night, for example, take the R150 price for 2 hours and let her walk home afterwards! Most likely you got all she was going to do anyway. You may miss out on a last session in the morning before she leaves, but ,I guess you get the point.

Prices are generally around the range Geo. stated.

I have posted some R50 all nighters here but that was from a private in call (I have never used an agency, though i might today). Once you have been here many, many, many, many, times you can just be blunt, to the point, and pay them a low rate. But these will be girls you have known for years (5 to 10 years in my case).

To any this may help: If interested in a cheaper trip I always tell guys from the US that you are much better off flying to San Diego on Southwest for $300, getting a nice hotel (the market is slow in CA) and making daily trips to Tijuana, where you can get girls from US20 short time to US$60 for an hour.

I'm a bit thrown off about paying $400R for one night with a chick unless she is Andressa Sores. After spending so much time in the DR I have grown accustom to chicas taking whatever you care to give them(just the Monger in me), usually no more than US$40.

Also, I imagine the quality of chica is going to be well worth the reais vs DR chicas?

I will take both of your advice and enjoy the atmosphere and hope to get lucky. I picked up a couple of snazzy new outfits with clean shoes hopefully I'll get a chicas attention

Language will not be a barrier in Copacabana. Money runs things in Copa and money in universal. I have seen guys writing numbers on a napkin to negotitate. I have posted some R50 all nighters here but that was from a private in call (I have never used an agency, though i might today). Once you have been here many, many, many, many, times you can just be blunt, to the point, and pay them a low rate. But these will be girls you have known for years (5 to 10 years in my case).

As always YMMV, but in general you get what you pay for. I do not advice guys to fly to Rio expecting to pay R50 all night. Nor do I advise them to visit the low budget casas unless they have made their way through Copa and just want a change of pace. It is not worth flying thousands of miles to go to these places, in general.

If interested in a cheaper trip I always tell guys from the US that you are much better off flying to San Diego on Southwest for $300, getting a nice hotel (the market is slow in CA) and making daily trips to Tijuana, where you can get girls from US20 short time to US$60 for an hour.

In Copa, just enjoy the atmosphere and relax. The price range you go from Geo, should be your guide. The main thing is to relax, not overpay, and not worry about what you do pay (sounds contradictory but you will see what I mean).

The girls here are more into sex than those in other places so in the end you always come out a winner.
