Weren't you raving about the Sapphire lineup on your first few days? Sapphire has gone from top notch to crap in a week?
On your last trip there was no under 20 rule and Sapphire was the club that had the most under 20's imo. Now with the under 20 law in effect is that why the club may be hurting?
Syzy, unlike BKK clubs that mix both LB's and girls, this is generally not the case for Pattaya gogo clubs which is one major reason I prefer Pattaya clubs over BKK.
There really isn't a 20 an over rule that I can see, I barfined a 19 year old and bought a drink for an 18 year old.
As to Sapphire's lineup, I don't think I posted every time I went into the bar, so you can't gauge the lineup compared to my posts. The lineup was amazing the only day I walked in there with my 19 year old barfine, the rest of the days I thought it pretty average. You didn't see it a year ago, many of my favorites no longer work there. One went to Phuket. You sent me the photo (their facebook page) of your girl, didn't see her there once. And its in my phone so not like I'd forget what she looked like.

Odd cause she is there. She was at the Bike Show with a bunch of other girls this past week.

Lineup's
We all know gogo prices are climbing so if I'm going to barfine a girl, I want her to either have the best personality with a decent body or a fantastic body and be dambed about everything else. So I walk into a gogo expecting to pay 4000 baht at most of the walking street gogo's (less in LK metro). Can I negotiate down a 1000 baht barfine and a 3000 baht short (or long) time? ID give it a go if its at all possible without trying to upset the girl and the service to boot. That being said, I sit down and get a drink and turn down all the ugly girls who run over trying to grab a drink. I then look at the lineup and in my head figure out who's worth the 4000 and who isn't. I then rate the club based on their lineup of top tier talent. Here's a comment on some of the gogo's I visited and what I thought of their lineup vs price ratio.
The Office in LK metro. Some stunners, seems they like to put the hot ones all on stage at the same time and then the dogs later. Once you walk in the token dogs come running trying to get a ladydrink before you have a chance to look at the stunners. Ratings: 6.
Ninja in LK metro. Higher degree of stunners, mamasan came over and gave me an outrageous price for a dog tier girl. Fun club to stop in for a beer. Ratings 6.
Paradise in LK metro. Price wise a fantastic deal, some really cute girls although not as much as on offer as Ninja. Ratings a 6.
Peppermints on WS: decent amount of girls, some cuties but their prices are a tad high. Ratings a 6. 5.
Electric Blue: some cute talent, some topless and naked girls and a fantastic 45 baht beer happy hour. Fun club to visit, couldn't tell you about the price but for club fun alone its a 7. 5.
What's Up on WS. Some cute talent, way way overpriced on everything. But if I'm going to fork out a large amount of cash, the talent just didn't wow me. Ratings a 6. 5.
Sapphire on WS. Tons of girls (and a few LB's maybe), many of the girls fall into the average range. They might be hotter naked but if they are fully clothed and don't set off my dick radar, not much chance of a barfine. My two other buddies who visited last year also voted thumbs down for the overall lineup. Plenty of bodies to fill the venue but its not like last year. Ratings a 6. 5 (easily a 8. 5 last year).
Farenheit: There are some cuties here and many of them are topless on the stage. Numbers aren't as high as some of the other clubs but prices are a bit easier to handle after 11 pm. Ratings a 7.
Wildcats: lineup is hit and miss but if you get the right girl the club is a rocking. Buddy and I each bought two girls drinks and as soon as they got to our seats dropped their panties to the floor. Fingers fingers everywhere. Barfine is high but prices are reasonable. Right time of night this club can be a 9, other times its barely a 4.
Windmill: Went there twice, left after one beer each time. Lineup has a few good lookers but the rest are dogs. Gone is the cutie who did all the pussy inserts of last year, making the club a boring venue. Ratings 6.
There's a gogo under the hotel in 'boystown' where on one side the gogo has ladyboys, on the other side girls. Forgive me but I remember reading about it but don't recall the name of the hotel or the gogo. The hotel though was known for having stripperpoles in the rooms. #152 at Alcatraz
Stopped in Alcatraz agogo, its never been a favorite club of mine but if I'm in the area and have some free time I'll check it out. There were a few cute girls but for the most part the ugly girls are always the first to come up to you and the wait staff are a bit aggressive in their pointing to the girls for you to pick one. One little guy decided he was going to clap inch's from my face. Was waiting for him to try it again. Anyway, either I'm now seeing ladyboys in every club or #152 is the ugliest working girl ever.

You need to be very specific with such provocative comments. Which BKK clubs have a mix of girls and LBs, please exclude discos, where clearly anything is possible? Please list some examples so we know what you are talking about. Please also exclude bars/clubs where waiting staff or mamasans are LBs, as that surely does not count.
I am not aware of any Bangkok bars that have a mix of girls and LBs right now, in the dancing staff. Of course I do not enter Deja Vu any longer since detected 2 or 3 LBs years ago. Also I do not enter any Nana bars that obviously have LBs.
One or two Cowboy bars are now LB bars, but I don't go in. It's too obvious.
I am not aware of rule that a girl must be 20 for Bangkok bars. Certainly not for Crazy House and unlikely for Suzie Wong. Oom, one of my favourites is nearly 20 years old. I first saw her, without actually going with her originally, 2 and a half years ago. I am not allowed to be too explicit on this subject. Forum rules. I am aware that some massage places require a girl to be at least 20.

If someone under 20 is caught working in a bar then in addition to jail for the girl and the manager, the bar will be shut down for 5 years and will incure a 2 million baht fine. So maybe you have not heard from Oom in a while or she is definitely over 20.

Of course CH gets a tip off before any police visit. So they maybe above the law to some extent. I have seen Oom this month maybe twice, but rarely turning up.
At first she said she was 20, but later amended that to nearly 20 with birthday coming up soon. Sometimes Thais may want to use the Chinese system that they are 1 already immediately after birth (in their first year).
It's a great injustice for Thailand to discriminate on age, in my opinion. Is the girl considered an adult or not? It's as simple as that. Girls have to make a living and support their family even if not yet 20. Some Thai single mothers maybe well under 20 years of age. Daughter or son has to be supported somehow. If a girl is entitled to work at all, perhaps she should be entitled to do any type of work that older people are allowed to do, provided she is free to choose. Other bargirls have run into a big problem through not being Thai nationals and are therefore discriminated against as well.
The stigma of sex work largely comes from religious stupidity in my personal view. It's just a job. Sex slavery is a different thing altogether. Everyone agrees slavery is wrong regardless of the type of work, so the sex part is hardly relevant.
You need to be very specific with such provocative comments. Which BKK clubs have a mix of girls and LBs,
From what I could tell from the outside, almost every single gogo club in Nana has LB's. Even the one that didn't appear to have any LB's outside I walked into and was immediately attacked by a LB. Maybe some of these LB's were actually girls with a ton of cosmetic surgery but they fit my LB criteria. I did not walk into Bangkok Bunnies since they had no one outside and I could not find RB4 which I understand are 2 of the clubs with all girls.
Cowboy seemed normal other than Cockatoo of course.

In addition, any bar found to admit customers under the age of 20 or employ staff under the age of 20 or if any illegal drugs are found inside their respective venue, the 5-year closure order will be imposed.
Please provide a link for this.
My link is my girlfriend who is sitting right here and works in one. I asked her while we were having lunch and I was writing the post. Someone else made a post about it last month when it first came out and I immediately asked her about it and she confirmed it with all the details. I think at that point I made a post that guys who only search for teenagers would do better to search for them online from now on.

Palace gogo in the heart of WS may be the first affected by the new laws last month, not for under 20 but for assault by a waitress and a dancer against 2 drunken female tourists who could not pay their bill.
The excuses may be a moot point for the bar, however, as Walking Street pub owners were told on Jan. 13 in no uncertain terms that violence of any sort against customers by bar staff would result in their establishments being closed for five years.
This is just dumb. Does this mean any drunken farang with no intention to pay his bill can now walk in a bar, buy 10,000 baht in drinks, claim he can't pay, and the bar now must let him walk without touching or stopping him?

If two drunk women can't pay there bill, that is what the police are for. Surely they can detain them without being excessive. Kicking their ass won't get your money and the government finally got tired of people / foreigners getting beat down by bar staff with impunity.

The news reported that the two women were teachers from Canada. Only one was beaten. Somehow they racked up a 5000 baht bar tab. One lady left to go to the ATM to get the money. When she was not back in X amount of time, the other lady jumped up and started walking out to go see what was taking her friend so long. That is when the one lady got jumped on because they thought she was trying to do a runner. It would have worked out better had the bar sent someone to the ATM with the first lady as they do in the ripoff clubs in Mexico.

Well that was the news version, but here it is from the horse's mouth:
"I am one of the girls that was involved in this story and this is totally inaccurate. They made it sound like it was our fault when in reality we did nothing wrong. We payed for our bill which was not 5000baht, we both had 4 drinks each, which we payed for but 2 other men separate from us left us with their bills. We told the staff there we payed our bill, that the rest was the mens and they wouldn't listen. We tried to leave as we payed our bill and didn't have money to pay for the men's bill that ditched out on their tabs, one of which they let leave and kept us. They then jumped my friend, 4 girls 1 man, and started beating her. I held off 2 when the manager grabbed my arms and they continued to kick and scratch her. Police came and as we were leaving, the same stripper who originally jumped my friend, attacked me again. We also told the police this multiple times but it seems the reporters rather make things up and make the tourists look to blame."
