But there are a number of them that have no problem with meeting an expat who lives here who speaks some Thai, respects their culture, is committed to being here, and who treats them nicely, and, especially if they are in their 30's, will give them attention unlike a Thai guy. The biggest problem is going to be meeting them, as most of the girls like these DO NOT go to bars to find men, nor do they have a huge amount of free time, AND they take a prolonged period of serious dating which most farang have zero interest in doing.

I remember my first time in BKK, I met a fellow American on the plane and he was decent enough guy, but went on to say how he doesn't like hot girls because they're too stuck up. I saw him bring home a girl from Country road bar at Soi Cowboy. Wow, hardly something I would consider bringing back after a 20 hour flight LOL. Another reason is a lot of westerners have a problem with paying for sex, they think that people who pay for sex are losers, yet they don't have the skill set or whatever to date a halfway decent girl in LOS, and stuck with some fugly who anyone could pull. Of course, most Asians tend not to have problems with paying to see girls naked and perform sexual acts with them.
As far as getting good girls with degrees in their late 20s and 30's. Yes, they generally are more open to the falang after they've been dumped by thai guys one too many times, but they can still be quite choosy in who the see, ESPECIALLY if they're good looking. You have to bring something to the table and can't be a toothless gimp. And even then some still will not venture out to farang territory. My GF has a hot friend (in her 30's) who just stays home and drinks all night by herself and is single. I ask the GF why she doesn't go out to meet a hansum falang but apparently she doesn't like going to sukhumvit area bars. Only stays deep in Thai territory.

Age is a bit of a factor, but as I stated before, you can be in your 40s or 50s and land a gal in her 30s. These girls want a partnership. You are not going to boss them around and they do not expect you to take care of them.

I looking into getting a Thai GF although not one from a bar so this is an interesting conversation. I'm not entirely convinced that marrying a European girls is the right way to go at the moment.
