I tried tinder so many times, my experience was time wasters on it and say they are going to meet but keep postponing you then cancel and say it's raining cannot come and it wasn't every raining. So not sure if it's scammers. Also tried to meet girls at restaurants that I was already at but they wouldn't meet. Lost a lot of time waiting around. There are girls on it who will meet you after they finished work eg 3 am they are pros but looking to make more money. They charge around 1. 2 juta until breakfast time.

In my opinion, it's a complete waste of time and money trying to pursue someone on dating apps cause you don't know if and who will show up, especially when there are plenty of opportunities in Jakarta where you can simply walk in and have what you're looking for. In my experience, it's frustrating to get a girl commit to come to meet at the hotel due to language, culture, transport, even with the girls I had a great time at the bar and promised they would meet me later. Most girls would reach out only when they are in a bind and want you to help with money. In some of the lesser-known bars, if you like the girl, just negotiate directly with the girl or Mamasan to take her to your hotel with you for the night for 3 x the bar cost (around 1 junta).

If you've mongered for a while of course you can walk into any spa / brothel and choose the girl and pay.

I think what the anecdotal evidence is saying that there's a lot of pros and cons to bear in mind. But when you strike gold then it makes it worth the while. Well, what to say I have been going there every day for a week, first to take a look drink beer then get one girl, drink more, and take a second one, even a third.
